MeadKrieger is a company with a deep inspiration in Norse history and rooted in the science of fermentation.

In Norse culture, mead was a drink for both the common folk and the upper class. It brought people together and was used to celebrate community. It was also used in creative pursuits. Mead is mentioned in works from Aristotle to J.R.R. Tolkien to Michael Crichton.

ORIGINS

Branch & Barrel began with three friends, a dream, and a small residential hot water heater. When owners Scott, Ryan, and Tom met through their day jobs, they bonded over the idea of creating a project that would produce high quality authentic Colorado craft spirits. They didn’t have a still, a facility, barrels, or a recipe, but what they did have was good old American ingenuity. Through skills acquired from time in plumbing and construction, the team put their heads together and got to work. They ran various recipes through their little water heater still until they produced something they considered “drinkable,” then aged the spirit in mason jars with charred tree trimmings from their own backyards. Because our first “barrels” were branches, it only made sense to adopt the moniker as a company name. Seven years later, Branch & Barrel Distilling produces a variety of award-winning whiskies, unique barrel finishes, and experimental spirits, still using handbuilt equipment to this day.

Born on the back of a truck bed parked in a dove field, Epic Western is rooted in authenticity. Using high quality 100% Blue Weber Agave Tequila, certified Mexican mineral water and real citrus, we don’t cut corners when it comes to ingredients. We harvest the agave plants, distill the tequila and mix the cocktails in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. If we couldn’t can our cocktails like we make them at home, we weren’t going to do it. We make it like you’d mix it.

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats really like whiskey. They also really like being good neighbors.

The Night Sweats Straight Bourbon was created in partnership with the band to benefit The Marigold Project, Nathaniel Rateliff’s nonprofit that supports community and nonprofit organizations working on issues of economic, racial and social justice.
In fact, $10 of every bottle sold goes to The Marigold Project (TMP).
This partnership all began in 2021 with a cocktail, The Marigold Sour. Our version of the classic Whiskey Sour features a tincture infused with marigold petals and a house-made marigold syrup. Using the cocktail to help raise funds for TMP lead us to a discussion about new ways to collaborate and promote TMP’s mission. Now here we are, with two batches of The Night Sweats Straight Bourbon under our belts and thousands donated!

Today's Tasting Thursday we have Uncle Tim's Cocktails

For enthusiasts of craft cocktails, there always exists that iconic moment where a bartender introduced you to the world of unique flavors combined with high quality spirits. For founders Tim Felkner and Patrick Stern, that was San Francisco’s restaurant renaissance starting in 2008.

Inspired by the diverse landscape of options out there, they found themselves hosting a wide range of events and found a need for ready made cocktails that provided the same caliber of unique flavors we found across the city's greatest bars and restaurants.
Over the last decade, we developed the recipes what came to be called Uncle Tim’s bottled cocktails, most of which you will find in our collection today. The tradition of unique cocktails is what we love, and hope that you find inspiration in these bottles to share and enjoy with the company you keep.
