🚨 Hard Mountain Dew Update – And It’s Not Good News 🚨

Have you been waiting for Hard Mountain Dew to hit liquor store shelves near you? Well… keep waiting – and you can thank Pepsi Bottling of Salisbury for that.

Here’s the backstory:
Hard Mountain Dew is produced by Boston Beer Brewing (makers of Sam Adams) in partnership with PepsiCo for distribution. Initially, the product rollout wasn’t going as planned, so a new distributor was brought in. A few weeks ago, we (Red Light Liquors) were thrilled to learn that Buck Distributors had been granted the rights to distribute it in our area.

Naturally, we placed our order! Our customers have been asking for Hard Mountain Dew since we opened, and it was set to be delivered this Wednesday, March 5.

But then—PEPSI SALISBURY SAID NO. ❌

We got a call yesterday informing us that local PepsiCo bottlers must approve distribution in their areas, and PepsiCo in Salisbury refused. Why? We have no clue. But what we do know is that while Hard Mountain Dew is being sold in Annapolis, it’s now banned on the Eastern Shore.

In fact, some Queen Anne’s County stores already received their shipments—only to be told to pull them off the shelves!

What Can You Do?
If this frustrates you as much as it does us, we encourage you to contact PepsiCo and let them know. Tell them that blocking a product from store shelves:
✅ Limits consumer choice
✅ Hurts small businesses
✅ Makes zero sense

Your voice matters! Let’s push for change and bring Hard Mountain Dew to the Eastern Shore! 🍻
