Domaine Bart 2019 Les Etalles, Marsannay Blanc, Burgundy, France 🇫🇷

🌍 Located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. This family estate has been passed down for 6 generations and has expanded greatly to reach 20 hectares of vines today. It offers a beautiful range of wines with various appellations: Marsannay, Fixin, Bonnes-Mares, Chambolle, Chambertin, Santenay. There only 3 hectares are reserved for white: Chardonnay (70%) and Aligoté (30%)

📆 We paired this French beauty with the last Friday night in October, cooling weather, kids preparing for their annual Halloween candy provisioning, adults uncorking their weekend best.

🌈 Fact: Marsannay is the only appellation Village in Burgundy that produces wines of all 3 colors: Red, White and Rosé

Gracias José Pastor 🙏 .... From two sources of 🍇 100% Garnacha, one in Ribera del Duero at 700-920m and the other at 1,110m in the Sierra de Gredos mountains ⛰️ outside of Madrid. Grapess are hand-harvested 👐, wild yeast fermented in steel vat whole cluster and without crushing (carbonic maceration), and bottled in 2021 February.

Beautiful medium-bodied wine with layers of 😘 juicy fruit and spice, meant to be drinking young when the wine is at its mouth youthful. Serve chilled... and delicious with 🥩 barbecued meats & vegetables 🔥

For a 5pm FriYay 🕔 Happy Hour moment... like sunshine in your mouth. This "Les Vireux" is from some aged vines, yet kickin' off good times. Pure expression of Chardonnay from Auxey-Duresses pale straw color and crystal clarity 🧐, matching its aromas of fresh almond and apple 🍏, to which are added biscuity and mineral-like gunflint notes. It tickles the palate 🤗 in an agreeable fashion - vivacious now in it's youth, likable and lively, the fruit retains its fullness through a long finish classic ✨

Coffee is for closers...Sales 101: 17th Generation Right Bank Bordeaux house with trophy 🏆 plantings under vines of 73% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc 🍇

Château de Sales soils are comprised of fine gravel and sand, with clay in some areas and an omnipresence of iron oxide, known as "crasse de fer." 💯 % present IRONMAN 💪 in this one.

This one needs time in the decanter. Gritty like the City 🌃 so... LFG Bordeaux

🍷...dont give up on a legendary grape! This babe is showing a beautiful and intriguing nose of black cherry 🍒, boysenberry jam, plum, and fresh cut flowers come through first, then cardamom, nutmeg, and a touch of cocoa 🍫 and vanilla🍦giving depth and intrigue. Palate ended more complex as it opened, flavors of red cherries, muddled berries, and dried herbs, with a creamy texture and silky tannin complimented by a fresh, vibrant acidity ⚡

Château Calon-Ségur 2015 Marquis de Calon, Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, France 🇫🇷

💣 Powerful, concentrated and rich, in it's youth we still found the gritty tannins with notes of cassis, to***co, cigar box and crushed stone above all else. Decanted less than 15 minutes this wine wasn't shy, and drinking now.

🍇 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot

Excellent super 2nd from Calon Ségur - from another solid vintage, and likely so approachable due to it being aged 100% new French oak barrels for 20 months.
