A Life Celebration Service for Kevin and his Mother, Mary Lee, will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 10:00 a.m., at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion. There will be no visitation but there will be a little time afterwards for visitation before departing to the Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, IL, for burial at approximately 1:30 p.m.

We are sad to share with you that our good friend and partner Kevin Graham passed away last week. He lost both of his parents, Don & Mary Lee Graham, in the last several weeks as well. Kevin was a very generous and loving person who was passionate about sharing his knowledge of wine with anyone who had an interest in vino. We have had the pleasure of knowing Kevin for the past 40+ years. We will miss his humor and smiling face as we face the future without him in our physical presence. He will always be in our hearts. We will share his funeral arrangements when they are available.

2010 Katherine Goldschmidt Cab This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has blackberry, black pepper and plum flavors enveloped in sweet oak. Round and fleshy middle palate, with nice concentration and good structure. Finishes with silky tannins and a hint of spice. This wine sells for $19.99.

2009 Easton Zinfandel The 2009 has full black cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with a beautiful balance and a big, sumptuous, juicy mouth feel. It also presents complex spicy aromas, with a nice creamy texture derived from the 10 months time it receives in French oak barrels. The wine enhances spicy foods, including meat and pastas. The wine sells for $16.99 a bottle.

The 2011 Block Nine Pinot is a beautifully long and rich in ripe cherry and berry flavors. The aromas exhibit generous bright fruit with a mix of strawberry, violets, plum, tea, and a hint of clove. Flavorful and silky in the mouth with good body, this wine is seductive showing wild cherries and a hint sandalwood to complete its complex finish.
