Get in the holiday spirit with this ThanksgiviThanksgiving-inspiredng inspired cocktail.

Hot Buttered Rum

Makes 2

Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg, plus extra for garnish
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
3 cups hot water
1 1/2 ounces The Black Dog Rum 3-Year-Old
1/2 cup sweetened whipped cream, for garnish

Directions

Mash/stir the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt together until a smooth paste forms. Place half the mixture into the bottom of each of 2 serving mugs. Pour hot water over the mixture. Stir in the rum. Top with whipped cream and additional nutmeg to garnish.

Get in the holiday spirit with this Thanksgiving-inspired cocktail.

Newton's Law

Makes 1

Ingredients

1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon hot water
1 ½ oz. Cooper's Mark Bourbon
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons apple butter
Garnish: orange twist and freshly grated or ground cinnamon

Directions

Stir together brown sugar and hot water in a cocktail shaker to dissolve. Let cool, then add bourbon, lemon juice, and apple butter and fill with ice. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with orange twist and cinnamon.

Get in the holiday spirit with this Thanksgiving-inspired cocktail.

Vanilla Espresso Martini

Makes 1

Ingredients
Vanilla Honey

1/4 cup honey
1 vanilla bean ( or 1 tablespoon vanilla extract)
vanilla sugar, for rim (optional)

Martini

1 1/2 ounces 1941 Vodka
1 1/2 ounces Cafe Bueno Coffee Liqueur
1 ounce espresso

Directions

To make the vanilla honey syrup. In a medium pot, bring 1/4 cup water, the honey, and vanilla to a boil over high heat. Boil 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat. Let cool. This syrup makes enough for about 6 drinks.If desired, rim your glass with vanilla sugar. (Vanilla Sugar: Mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean powder) In a cocktail shaker, combine 2-3 teaspoons honey syrup, vodka, coffee liqueur, and espresso. Add ice and shake vigorously for 1 minute. Strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a couple of coffee beans, if desired.
