So, here it is. Winter and the road work have killed us. We are going to be totally honest and open here-- this is 100% a last-ditch effort to keep this place open. Here are our [tentative] plans:
Unfortunately, we are forced to let our staff go at the end of this month. This is the VERY last thing that we wanted to do and tried to avoid it every way possible. But we are out of options at this point. This means that Jared will be the only person working at the store for now (and Jennifer when she isn't at her other business). In order for this to be possible, our hours will be changing as well as our menu. We will release all of that info soon, as we are still working out a few things. The plan will be to essentially open at lunch and dinner time only, with a slimmed down menu that will require fewer people to run.
We truly hope this is temporary and we can go back to "normal" soon. We plan on operating with business as usual until the end of this month. You will notice that we are out of a couple of menu items. That is because we won't be restocking some of those items since they will be coming off the menu soon.
We also plan to slim down on drinks and grocery items. We will still carry a few items, but we have had more items expire than we've sold when it comes to snacks and groceries.
You will see more retail items and discount items. We've bounced around the idea of doing discount bins for a while. We haven't worked out the exact details on that yet, but we are going in that direction.
Thank you all for the support. We are still trying to keep this place going, but we can't deny that we are out of options after this. The road work in front of our business slashed our sales in half, pretty much overnight. On top of that, it is wintertime, and we already knew we would be slower due to the weather. We've been trying hard to change things up and muddle through. Hopefully, once spring hits, we will pick back up and go back to normal. We are concerned that the road work will keep that from happening, so time will tell. âĪïļ
