About the Crested Butte Wine and Food Festival
The Crested Butte Wine and Food Festival takes place over a long summer weekend in the heart of the Rocky Mountains! The festival strives to enlighten and educate both wine and foodie experts and novices alike, with a variety of seminars, elevated dining events, outings, adventures, and food pairings during the festival. We offer a variety of seminars lead by industry experts and sommeliers to broaden your knowledge about wine. Most seminars take place in local restaurants, while others may find you on a lovely picnic, hike, painting, or even stand up paddle boarding! We have are several fine dining opportunities such as Winemaker and Farm to Table Dinners and the popular Bursting with Bubbles Champagne Brunch. Some seminars and the Grand Tasting include food pairings provided by the talented chefs from the Gunnison/Crested Butte area. The Grand Tasting signature event features over 500 wines from wineries and distributors and food demonstrations from local establishments. Often including music or other entertainment, the Crested Butte Wine and Food Festival is a great event for anyone interested in wine. The event offers a Designated Driver ticket for folks who are indeed driving their friends or who do not consume alcohol but wish to attend this grand event. The festival takes place over the last weekend in July, when the wildflowers burst with color, the rivers flow, the fish bite, and the trails beckon. Come for the festival and add a few days before or after to enjoy our area!
