My mother was an avid Bible reader and I remember this bible when I was growing up. I liked the pictures in it and I liked that it zipped together. Yesterday was the first time I had seen it in years. I’ve looked for it and wondered where it could be from time to time but never found it. Saturday I ran into a friend of mine at the hardware store who told me that his sisters boyfriend had found a Bible that had apparently belonged to my Mommy because it had her name and my brothers name written in it along with some other things she had written. (Mommy would sometimes write her thoughts and prayers inside of Bibles) This one is special to me because she had things about my brother Danny who passed away when I was 4 wrote in it. My friend told me to go to their house and they would give it to me. So yesterday I did and on the way I told my son that I’d bet it had a zipper on it and sure enough it did. It was the Bible I had looked for all those years. I couldn’t believe it! What I really couldn’t believe is he found it in an old house he was tearing down 10 years or so ago 110 miles away in Maysville Ky. I know for a fact that Mommy or Daddy have never been there and almost 100% sure nobody else in the family has either. I have no idea how it got there but the amazing thing is that it found its way back to me. What are the odds of that happening? Thank you Ronnie Caudill for keeping this for me and bringing it home. I’m so happy to have it back. I also found a n old driver’s permit from Dresden TN. inside it dated 1945 for a person that I’ve never heard of. It must have been put in there while it was lost. If anyone knows this person they can pm me. I just am amazed that I got this back and I had to share it with everyone.
