Once again we are filled up. I will not be taking any more deer for the remainder of the year. I have plenty to get done and need to be done by the middle of January to start building a racecar and getting my motor together. It has been a very trying year for me by far. With the lack of help and the amount of hours it takes to run a processor is overwhelming. I’m not getting any younger and with my legs being plated and pinned, it’s taken a toll on me. I’ve always done this because I enjoyed doing it but when the enjoyment has worn off it’s time to hang up the knives and do something different. So with that being said, at this time I don’t have any plans on opening for the 25-26 season. Unless something dramatic happens through the summer I will let everyone know. After 19 years I hate to do it but it’s not enjoyable anymore. The stress and hours isn’t good. Thank you to all the great customers and friends we’ve meet through the years has been great.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

If y’all could please be a little patient about calling about your meat. It hasn’t gone anywhere and we will call you when it’s finished, I promise. Answering 10 calls a day asking how’s your coming ain’t going to get it done any faster. I’m working as fast as I can. It’s just me and most people know this. Nobody wants to work anymore.

12/07/2024

Once again we are filled to capacity. We will try to get more room by Tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience but I’m working as fast as possible.

11/28/2024

Happy Thanksgiving! We are closed today and will reopen tomorrow at our normal hours, 9:00am to 8:00pm.

11/25/2024

Well that didn’t take long. We are filled back up and no longer taking deer at this time.

11/22/2024

We have finally got caught up and will be accepting deer tomorrow. Thanks for being patient but when it’s a 1 man show because of help then I can only go so fast. I have plenty of people to package but no cutters or skinners.

11/16/2024

At this time we are not accepting any more deer at this time. We will continue to work as fast as possible to get room in the cooler. I will post when are accepting them. Thanks sorry for any inconvenience.

11/12/2024

We are looking for a meat cutter. Full time or part time through the end of deer season.

Just an FYI: If your girlfriends sisters boyfriends uncle was so kind to share their harvest with you, we will still need an authorization number to process the deer. If not we cannot do it.

10/06/2024

If anyone that would like to donate any deer that you don’t want, I will process them for free and keep all the meat collected in my walk in freezer until more power is restored to the hard hit areas. We will drive up to the Asheville area and mountains to deliver to people in need. Please check out one of our racing sponsors Battled-Scarred Outdoors as they are accepting donations and they have already sent trailer loads to the mountains. Thanks to everyone that has helped in the relief efforts.

If anyone from around our old deer processing place in Concord would like to donate to the hurricane relief, Mr. Ken still lives there and he is taking donations with his son Brian. Brian has a tractor and trailer that they will bring to the mountains when it gets full. Please if you can donate.

The address is 7473 Ruben Linker Rd. Concord

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’m slacking on that end. We have been pretty busy this summer with racing and doing pretty well at it. Won the first 2 races at Southern National Motorsports Park and Hickory Motor Speedway. A few weeks ago my son crashed really bad when the left rear snout on the rearend broke off in practice causing him to lose the wheel and brakes. The car spun around hitting drivers side first into the outside wall. He was fine just a bruised ankled from snapping off the clutch pedal. We basically had to start over building a new car. Now on to deer season. I’ve been waiting to post of us opening because apparently my building was hit by lightning and it knocked out my walk in cooler and walk in freezer. It also blew up my TV in the race shop. Without the cooler I cannot take in any deer. Refrigeration guy was here yesterday and the parts have been ordered. I will let everyone know here and I will have the signs at the road once things are operational again. Thanks for the understanding. Good hunting and shoot straight.

Just an FYI..please look at your tickets before leaving. The processing charge does not cover the cost of all the add-ons. You're not going to get 37 pounds of summer sausage for $100.
Everything beyond the basic processing cost extra. Thanks.

We've finally made it in the house for the day. This is the first night that my daughter Allison and I have been in the house before midnight this week. I'd like to take a moment and thank each and every one of y'all. We would like to thank our existing customers and all the new customers that have given us the opportunity to process your deer. I would have never thought that our first year in a new facility and location was on pace to be a record year for Stumphill in 18 years. We are very thankful and thank you everyone. Hoping each and everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving. On to busting butt tomorrow to get the cooler cleaned out.

11/23/2023

As of now, Thanksgiving morning, we are full to capacity. We won't be accepting any deer until at least Saturday. We need to get our cooler thinned out and make room. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please call ahead to make sure we are accepting deer. Thank you.
