Today is Malbec World Day! 🍷

The purple grape originated from France and is known as one of the six grapes allowed in the blend of red Bordeaux wine. However, today, Malbec is considered Argentina's most important grape variety and the country has more than 70% of all Malbec vineyards in the world.

We'd love to introduce you to one of our favorites, Antucura Barrandica Malbec. This Argentine Malbec is one of our featured Wines of the Week (WOW), which means you're welcome to a free sample any day we’re open this week.

Here are our two featured Wines of the Week (WOWs). Ask for a free sample any day we’re open this week:

💛 Domingo Molina Torrontés (Argentina) - Herbaceous aromas are intense on the nose. Lime, ginger and cardamom contribute to the wine's spicy citrus character. Sharp acidity supports the lightweight palate.

❤️ Antucura Barrandica Malbec (Argentina) - Bright and deep red in color with violet hues. A complex wine, with notes on the nose of red fruits like blackberry, plum and some floral. The palate is elegant with a soft, friendly attack, with good acidity in mouth, and a long creamy finish with cherry and spice aromas.

What A Night (in Spain)! 🍷🍽️ This past weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a Wine Pairing Dinner at Cellar Door Wine Shop in collaboration with Cabarrus Cooking Company.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and to Cabarrus Cooking Co for making magic in the kitchen!

Stay tuned – we’re already dreaming up the next one, which will be a Mediterranean night on July 26 (tickets coming soon).

Here are our two featured Wines of the Week (WOWs). Ask for a free sample any day we’re open this week:

💛 La Brune ‘The Valley’ Chardonnay (South Africa) - The nose transports you to a bakery: brioche, pastry, and ye**ty aromas. The mouth is highly textured with notes of oatmeal, almond, chamomile, and orange blossom. It lingers with that tight, mineral, and linear Elgin finish.

❤️ La Brune ‘The Valley’ Pinot Noir (South Africa) - This vintage has great powerful on the nose: boysenberry, blueberry, black tea, and forest floor. The color is a deep and glistening ruby, and the palate is structured with red and blue fruits before a fresh and elegant finish. Fantastic value here.

Here are our two featured Wines of the Week (WOWs). Ask for a free sample any day we’re open this week:

💛 The Furst Pinot Blanc (France) - Elegant nose of white flowers and peach. Supple and fruity attack, the wine is dry with delicate and polished acidity and flavors of white stone fruits.

❤️ Domaine du Fournier Côtes du Rhône Villages Signargues (France) - Beautiful brilliant red color. An elegant and subtle nose of black fruits, cherries, blackcurrant, plums and mineral nuances of flint. On the palate, it's a fresh, crunchy wine accompanied by soft and coated tannins. Finale with notes of blackcurrant.

Happy Spring! 🌸🌼 These are our two featured Wines of the Week (WOWs). Ask for a free sample any day we’re open this week:

💛 Ronco Margherita Ribolla Gialla (Italy) - Pale straw yellow in color with slight greenish reflections. This white wine is elegant and intense, floral, fruity and fragrant. It has a slight hint of acacia flowers, yellow peach and quince. It is dry, sour and enhanced with good acidity.

🩷 Babylonstoren Mourvèdre Rosé (South Africa) - Dry, unwooded, medium-bodied rosé wine. Light pink salmon in color with strawberries and rose petals on the nose. On the palate, a hint of watermelon and crushed pomegranate, rounded off with fresh acidity for a delicious, lingering mouth-feel. *The official rosé at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London for the third consecutive year.
