Greetings New York Butcher Shoppe Columbia, SC Fans!

I hope the Holidays and The New Year were joyful and bountiful for all of you. Post Holidays usually means healthier eating habits after some heavy indulgence of red meats. In that vein of thinking we have found some freshly caught Gulf of Maine Bluefin Tuna. When this hits our cases, it does not last long at all. So, hurry in and scoop some up before it is gone

We sampled it raw with a little Tamari Soy Sauce (see attached photo) and it was mind-blowingly flavorful!

Maine Bluefin Tuna is the fattiest and largest in the tuna family, making this fish truly iconic. Maine bluefin tuna loin has a deep, cherry red meat and the firmness of raw steak. This Gulf of Maine Tuna has begun its migration North and was caught off the coast of N.C. on Monday, it is harvested under strict quota regulations when the fish migrate north.

Every Bluefin we purchase is graded on-site to confirm its quality rating using a sashibo (a Japanese-made sharp metal probe that removes a thin core from the fish) to evaluate the flesh for color, visible fat content, and texture.

Maine Bluefin tuna loin is the perfect choice for sashimi at home or seared on the grill!

Even at $48.99/lb it will not last long.

Greetings NY Butcher Shoppe Columbia, SC Fans!

I hope that the Holiday Week was a festive and merry one with family and friends.

We are back at it after a brief 2-day break, we will also take another small break and be closed on 1.1.25 & 1.2.25 as well. Additionally, we will be open on 12.31.2024 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

With that in mind, we will resume our weekly meal deals and semi-nightly hot meals beginning on 1.6.2025. As a reminder, we do roasted chicken with wild rice and salad on Monday; place order by 2:00 on Monday, Classic Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and gravy and salad on Wednesdays; place order by noon on Wednesday and Prime Rib on Fridays; place order by 2:00 on Friday.

If there is anything we may do to enhance your New Year's Eve experience please give us a call and let us assist you.
We look forward to seeing you as 2024 comes to an end and hope to see all of you in 2025.
