As a small business owner, I cannot even begin to fathom watching what I've worked so hard to build be destroyed right in front of my eyes.

Five local businesses in Metter, Georgia have been destroyed by a fire tonight. These are my friends, my co-workers, my people. A new mom, a soon-to-be mom, two of the most wonderful families in this town and a group of the nicest, most hard-working women I know. My heart just HURTS for them.

I sat across these buildings watching them burn and felt completely helpless, much like many of my peers tonight.

I don't know how to help and I really don't know what to say, but what I do know is how to design t-shirts. This design is not only meant to represent the businesses affected, but meant to serve as a reminder to ALL of these business owners that they have an entire community behind them. A community that will help them pick up the pieces and rebuild with them.

It's also meant to serve as a reminder that we have the ultimate champion for our lives and our businesses. In the wise, wise words of Mrs. Aly Torres, God is good and God has a plan.

🚨 Community Feeding Event🚨

The Collins Barn will be providing meals to the community today, October 2, 2024, from 5 - 6:30 pm AT THE GAZEBO IN COBBTOWN.

🍽️ Meals are in limited supply and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

The store will be closed until the power is restored. Until then feel free to visit the little library just outside our doors. We will open the food truck again in the morning while supplies last. We will only have tacos, snack foods, and drinks available.

Rain got you down? Come on down and check out our new little library sponsored by the Tattnall BOE. The girls came in to finish up their shift after working the Hispanic Heritage Celebration this morning and were surprised to see not only childhood favorite authors, but current ones too. Stop on by and post your photos on this thread for your chance to win a sweet treat. Winner will be announced next Sunday.

City of Cobbtown will be having their City Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, May 4, 2024. In addition, Cobbtown Beautification will be selling spaghetti plates from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Plates will be $8.00 and can be picked up at the Pavillion in the middle of town. Come and support our efforts to keep Cobbtown beautiful.
