After assessing the race track, it looked dryer than it actually was. My truck just sank in it. Would prob be 30-40 min of running it in with karts and there's more rain on the way. So we're gonna cancel.

A make up date will be announced soon.

Hey all! A few details for this race:

Will be traditional one feature format with B mains if necessary

We'll be experimenting with some tire placement in turns 1-2 to try to utilize the cushion and create multi groove racing.

This is NOT an IDIOTS Series points race.. just a race for fun and to help us raise some $ for resurfacing.

With a number of people coming from out of town, we’re gonna play it safe and postpone.

NEXT SUNDAY THE 11th will be KINGSWAY SPEEDWAY.

OCTOBER 18th will be TORNADO MOTOR SPEEDWAY.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th is BIG B SPEEDWAY FALL CLASSIC PRACTICE DAY.

Rain plans for next week will be announced if necessary.

This marks the 5th straight year with rain on race day at Tornado Motor Speedway and the 4th postponement.

When you pull in, go outside of the track up against the bean field through the gate and find parking in the yard. If you’re a spectator, please use the house driveway and front yard for parking. The 2019 AJ's Heavenly Pizza IDIOTS Series heads to Tornado Motor Speedway for its 2019 finale next Sunday October 6th. Tyler Gunn heads into the weekend with an 8 point lead on defending series champ and race winner Tony Beaber. Beaber got his first win at Tornado Motor Speedway in 2018 after several years of trying, whereas Tyler Gunn has never turned a lap at the bullring. Also up for grabs is the provisional for this year's Fall Classic at Big B Speedway, which goes to the top IDIOTS Points finisher who attempted every race.

This weekend's race will be held in honor of Joe Pemberton, an IDIOTS competitor who passed away in February after a battle with brain cancer. There will be a special trophy in his honor, and we'll do a missing man formation during the pace laps. The race formerly known as the Trailer Park Clash will now be known as the Joe Pemberton Memorial. It has never seen repeat winner. The 2019 IDIOTS Series has also seen four different first time winners.

Update: there was talk early in the year about dropping your lowest finish.. that was when we had 6 races planned. With a 5 race schedule; there is no drop races.

Gates open at 11:30 with Hotlaps at 1:30.
Rain date is October 13.

15 start A Main:

-24 karts:
3 heats, top 4 transfer, top 2 redraw
one B Main, top 2 transfer, top B Main finisher who has run every race gets provisional. If Provisional is not needed, then 3rd place finisher gets final transfer.

25+ Karts
4 heats, top 3 transfer, Winners redraw
2 B Mains, winners transfer
Provisional for fastest qualifying non transfer who's attempted every race

Championship Clinching Scenarios:
Heat wins worth 3 points
If Only Gunn wins heat:
Locks up with a 8th Place Finish

If Only Beaber Wins heat and Feature:
Gunn wins with 2nd place finish

If both/Neither wins heat:
Gun wins with 5th place finish.

Haynes wins if:
Wins the A Main and neither Beaber or Gunn transfer

Tiebreaker is:

3rd place finishes
4th place finishes

Josh Haynes wins at Tornado Motor Speedway!

Starting on the outside of row one, Haynes got around pole sitter AJ Wise into turn one on lap one, and never looked back. Wise was able to hang with Haynes for most of the race, but Haynes was able to navigate lapped traffic and keep Wise at a safe distance in order to get his first win at Tornado Motor Speedway. Chris Meadows, Troy Halbeisen, and Forrest Kirchenbauer rounded out the top 5.
