Opening his own grocery store on Kinsman Avenue in 1936, he was later joined by his son, Frank. The store changed locations a few times in the ensuing years, ultimately ending up on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights. Despite multiple challenges from competitors, the Zagara Family prospered as one of the Cleveland area's last independent, family owned grocers by offering outstanding customer service an
