Today we're featuring a special mix of German / Austrian wines BTG. Including a very special Magnum from Schloss Gobelsberg!

Open til 8pm this evening, come in for a pour!

The ‘Tradition’ wines are an ode to the winemaking style being employed at Gobelsburg in the early 19th century – specifically the years between 1800 and 1850. This period is characterized by the era of baroque, where intense aromatics in vinfication was being practiced.

The grapes are pressed with a basket press for low sediment content, without further sedimentation the wines are fermented without temperature control in 25 hl Manhartsberg oak casks (double foudre). After the fermentation the wines are racked every 3 to 4 months to let the wine ‘breathe’ on one side, but on the other side to go off the lees. This process lasts for about two years until the wine is ready to be bottled.

Vintage: 85% 2010, 10% 2009, 5% 1996-2008
Grapes: 80% Grüner Veltliner, 20% Riesling

The wait is nearly over! We are incredibly excited to share the details of our soon to be released single barrel project with our good friends at Side Project Brewing.

Introducing Silent Barrel #568: A truly irrreplicable stout collaboration and fitting cap to the 1st wave of the series.

A combination of unreleased Monkish & Other Half stout recipes brewed @ SP, this rich and viscous creation was then aged over 36 months in Weller 12 barrels before being bottled and waxed in gold.

Release Details:

1. Around 1/2 of the bottles will be offered to our Single Barrel Club (1pp) to kick off the Year 3 membership. If you're a fan of spirits as well, you can find more info via the link below. 2. We plan to keep a couple cases for on-site enjoyment.
