On today's Mac & Kat Tries: We are in a festive mood, folks, so we decided we'd build some ginger bread houses. We are using the word "build" in the loosest sense. Maclin grew up wrapping presents and making gingerbread houses with his sister, so he wanted to incorporate some nostalgia by bringing in the Cookies United Mini Gingerbread House Kit! 🫚🏠 As we can clearly see here, Kat did NOT do that growing up. On this week's Mac & Kat Tries: We forego any sort of measuring and try our hands at mulling some wine. We've got the Urban Accents Wine & Cider Mulling Spices from Stonewall Kitchen (a local company!!) in store and we thought, "Hey! Let's put this to the test!" This mix includes cinnamon, orange peel, whole star anise, lemon peel, whole allspice, whole cloves, vanilla extract, and orange oil. This combination is exactly what you need for all the season's seasonings. We used two bottles of the Primary Wine Co. Pinot noir out of Lodi Valley and....we don't know how much spices. The jar gives you proper measurements and instructions. We might have foregone those instructions and went a little wild. EITHER WAY. You're going to want these spices, and all the other Stonewall Kitchens goodies we have in store, for your Thanksgiving, Holidays, Winter culinary needs!
