Our Story

Established in 1975, Saunooke’s Mill is a landmark on the Cherokee Indian Reservation at the entrance to the Great Smokies National Park. Saunooke’s Mill is visited by thousands of vacationers to Cherokee, North Carolina. We still use the grist mill and waterwheel to produce stone ground grits, cornmeal & specialty mixes, using all natural ingredients. You don’t want to leave Cherokee without our stone ground products, but if you do, they are available for purchase online at https://www.cherokeesaunookesmill.com.
