We were open 3 hours Christmas day, we did nearly $2000 net plus, tips so we rounded up to 3k which equals 100 cataract surgeries paid for. How easy was that! 2 Maine Lunch and a glass of red blend = one person’s vision returned. Really puts things in perspective. THANKS for supporting us!

Big news...Highland’s President / CEO and second generation family owner, Leah Ashburn, has been named Person of the Year 2024 by Brewbound!

This recognition, awarded during the annual conference, celebrates Leah’s leadership and our entire team’s incredible work during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. While our brewery paused operations, we became a community hub— seven relief organizations stored supplies at Highland, some ran operations, and a neighborhood and local zoo used the property for egress due to a washed-out bridge.

Leah insists the award belongs to the Highland team and far beyond, “I am surrounded by heroes, from my husband and our team, to the NC brewers who dropped everything to help...Together we are capable of incredible things.”
