I love a cigar lounge, speakeasy or dive bar as much as the next classy person. That being said most of the things we enjoy indoors will be improved upon when you go on an adventure in nature. The caution is to not let your feet grow roots in the same old places. Go prove the goodness of these accoutrements in the wild and be better for it.

The world will tell you that the supreme whisky cocktail that bonds well with ci**rs is an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or Rob Roy. I recommend a Paper Plane. From the unique garnish to the layers of flavor, this drink longs to be paired with a cigar. I recommend a Fuente “Eye of the Bull” or a Padron 90th Natural to mate with this beautiful mistress. If you’ve ever had one, please weigh in on your cigar pairings.

Hey folks Kings Leaf West Ashley will be hosting a beer tasting tomorrow night at 6:30. The event is free and you just need to show up. So again Wednesday the 8th at 6:30pm for this event. The tasting will feature beer from all around the world as well as a few domestic offerings. Swing by and travel the world without leaving the lounge.

A new segment from kings Leaf will be History and Ci**rs. Pictured below is my guy Curtis Lemay. Known for his cigar habit and scorched earth bombing raids over Japan during WW2. His controversial yet effective use of B-29 bombers and early na**lm earned him the moniker “Bombs away Lemay”. Another nick name was the “Big Cigar”. His favorite ci**rs were of cuban varieties. He smoked them well after the embargo. Described by all as bold and ruthless. A machine of war that you wouldn’t want to be on the business end of. When tough calls had to be made that would result in hundreds of thousands perishing, Lemay would make them with out remorse and sleep like a baby. Many thought him to harsh in his bombing campaigns, but all critics eventually were humbled because the man was usually right. A good reminder that just because someone is belligerent and coarse, doesn’t mean they are wrong. The therapeutic public is always wrong and will get more people killed by not taking action or playing politics. Lemay reminds all who enjoy the leaf that even in war the luxury of ci**rs is ever present. Curtis Lemay loved the leaf so much that he was often seen smoking while flying combat sorties. When other officers disagreed with his decisions he often blew smoke in his would be opponents face. A bad ass like this cannot be forgotten.
