Need a new drink idea for Thanksgiving? This Spiced Apple Cider Sangria is cozy and seasonal, perfect for a Thanksgiving feast. It’s easy to make in advance and is even better after sitting in the fridge for a few hours.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of dry white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup triple sec (optional)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 pear, thinly sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3-4 whole cloves
- 2-3 star anise
- Club soda (for topping before serving)
- Fresh cranberries and cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the wine, apple cider, brandy, triple sec (if using), and maple syrup. Stir well.
2. Add the apple, orange, and pear slices, along with the cinnamon stick, cloves, and star anise.
3. Let it chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.
4. Before serving, top with a splash of club soda for some fizz.
5. Serve in glasses over ice, garnished with fresh cranberries and cinnamon sticks if desired.
