It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of our longtime warehouse manager and friend, Mark Judy. He was an extraordinary man, a kind soul, and a coworker beloved by all. Mark was the type of person who saw what needed to be done and simply did it—going above and beyond without being asked. He was someone you could trust without question and had a fabulous sense of humor.

There are countless stories in this world of unsung heroes that go untold—local people who put the team’s success above their own, who care deeply about their work but have little to no interest in recognition. These are the individuals who show up every day, quietly getting the job done. Their motivation is family. For them, it is about doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Mark Judy was the embodiment of all these qualities.

In today's world, individuals like Mark are rare, but they do exist—often in privately run businesses. They've dedicated years to their work, taken few days off, and consistently do what’s asked of them, and more. At Westy's, Mark Judy was a foundational employee, the backbone of our daily business, and someone whom you could always count on.

It's often said, "They don’t make them like they used to," but we know there are still people out there who embody this spirit—the unsung heroes. To honor Mark’s legacy, we will be establishing the Mark Judy Award. Each year, we will honor a local individual like Mark shining a light on those who quietly make a difference.
