Provide fast and courteous service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include suggestive selling, correct pricing, stocking, cleaning, and practicing proper safety procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Know all company procedures.
Be familiar with store layout and merchandise.
Practice proper customer relations at all times.
Know how to operate all equipment in the store.
Know how to properly stock inventory.
Know and follow all security procedures including paperwork.
Know and follow all preventive maintenance procedures.
Know and follow all State laws for liquor/beer and to***co.
Keep everything inside and outside of store clean.
Be available to assist with shift coverage (most stores 24 hours).

Detailed Functions:

Serve the customer.
Front and fill coolers.
Issue money orders.
Administer credit card transactions.
Administer lotto/lottery transactions.
Clean, front, and stock shelves.
Clean and wash down parking lots.
Clean and wash windows.
Sweep and mop floors.
Carry out garbage.
Keep food bar clean and filled.
Keep coffee fresh (every 45 minutes).
Keep hot dogs on grill (always).
Help maintain good inventory.
Be sure money is secured at all times.
Keep register at or below $100.00 at all times.
Document all refunds, void and no sales by attaching corrected receipt.
Must be able to complete shift report.
Know how to check supplier in and out.
Know how to sign for and receive gasoline deliveries.
Keep pumps clean.
Keep ice merchandiser clean.
Keep walk-in cooler, restrooms, and back room clean and neat.
Price merchandise.
Rotate stock.
Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ring up all sales.
Practice plus selling and provide prompt courteous service.
Maintain a clean and neat image at all times (see dress code).
Know and follow state laws for liquor/beer, ci******es, and adult magazines.
Control cash shortages.
Know procedures for check cashing.
Know and follow procedures for manufacturer’s coupons.
Know company policy and procedures for carrying out shoplifting and robbery preventive measures.
Perform any other duties necessary for the operation and maintenance of the store as directed by the Store Manager.
Allow no one behind checkout counter or into the backroom without proper identification.

Qualifications:

Related retail sales and customer service experience preferred.
