The fourth release in the Harmony Collection has been created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil to tell our oak story in an imaginative, visual and innovative way.
The whisky, created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, is matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill sherry casks.
These have been carefully selected to deliver the classic American oak flavours of vanilla, citrus and sweet oak, naturally derived from the cask during maturation, with a medium, sweet finish that delicately lingers.

I tasted it side by side with the 94 Proof Toasted Barrel Bourbon and our Toasted Barrel Barrel Proof just amps up all of the Tasting Notes from the 94 Proof. There's a little more Candy sweetness and some more Aged Oak / Tobacco on the Barrel Proof because of the higher ABV.

⭐ Tasting Notes: 🤤
Nose - Puff Pastry, Butterscotch, Toffee, Cigar Box, Baked Apple Strudel.
Palate - Golden Raisins, Honeysuckle, Leather & Tobacco, Cigar Box, Burnt Butterscotch, Aged Oak & Wood Spice. There's a significant amount of Armagnac influence to this Single Barrel. You still notice the Bourbon base spirit, but along with plenty of Aged Oak, Cigar Box, and Toastiness on the Palate. Plenty of depth in this pour which makes it fun to go back to.
Mouthfeel - Slightly Round and Viscous. Moderate Dense structure to it.
Finish - There's a lingering Rye Spice and Wood Spice with some Peppery Tannins on the Finish.

This is a Tasty pour! It's not a sweet sugar Bomb like some other Bourbons, but it's definitely more complex and layered for sure! It was interesting to learn that the climate in Northwest Washington State where these Barrels are aged is reminiscent of Scotland.
