| We love amari cause…whats not to love? And if it’s a local amari?! Forget about it. Festif’s Amaro is crafted by longtime LA bartender David Bly and drinks in a similar world to Montenegro. Spicy tea with some wonderful citrus and honey sweetness. Really wonderful stuff. SUPPORT LOCAL AMARI!

WE’RE OPEN 🤝🏼

I’m at a bit of a loss for words today, feeling devastated by the damage caused by the wildfires. Now that power has been restored throughout Burbank, doors are open and will remain so every day from 12 - 8 until further notice. If you find strength in community or just need a break from doom scrolling, we’ll be here with friendly faces, and natural wine, and pints of ice cream.

We’re grateful for all of our first responders both here in Burbank and through entire LA area. We really do live in the City of Angels.

‼️ New Stuff You Really Ought To Be Sipping from our Beverage Director, Zane! ‼️

Mahon Gin () is one of the few regionally protected gin products (plymouth is the other that comes to mind). It began production when Menorca, Spain was a popular British military outpost. Still made through a direct fire copper pot, Mahon uses a grape based spirit and its ONLY botanical is juniper!

We took this picture back in December of 2020. It was obviously a s**t show of a year and I figured the best way to market our end-of-year sparking wine sale was with a photo of a bottle of champagne exploding in my face. Now it’s sort of just become our annual sparking wine sale photo, but I think it still works. 2024 wasn’t totally a s**t show, but I do thrive in a little chaos, so I’m ready to see what 2025 has in store!

You might be thinking to yourself, there are six shopping days left until Christmas, and your dedicating an entire post to talk about an Irish Cream liqueur?!

I am. We carry exactly one Irish Cream at Fancy Free — . The category has been dominated by a few big name brands since the 1970’s, but Five Farms launched in 2018 and has been shaking things up ever since.

Five Farms is made from single batches of fresh cream that are combined with premium Irish Whiskey (within 48 hours of collection). The cream is all sourced from five family owned farms in County Cork, Ireland.

The vintage ceramic milk bottle design and swing-top cap doesn’t hurt the argument that it’s just a cut above. It’ll look good on your kitchen counter and taste even better mixed with your Christmas morning coffee.

Our fresh cocktail mixes are a labor of love. Like so many products and services, our mixes were born out of the pandemic. Every private event for the foreseeable future was canceled, and our bar catering company, , was completely out of work. But, we utilized our existing recourses, supplies, and labor to develop a line of fresh cocktail mixes that could be sold though our retail shop, Fancy Free Liquor. 🙌🏼

In addition to the mixes we still in store, we produce (sometimes custom) cocktail mixes for catered events, global brands, corporate gifts, movie premieres, and sometimes the occasional celeb. 🫢

We’re here to make preparing cocktails at home simple, so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying the company of family and friends. 🧡

We named this cocktail after King Moonracer, the the winged lion who serves as ruler of the Island of Misfit Toys. Remember him? 🦁 For this cocktail mix we start with the king of holiday flavor combos: cranberry & sage. We add lime and orange bitters for a bright citrus kick and recommend to spike the whole thing with a generous pour of vodka or whatever gives you wings. This started out as a “thanks for repping us in the wild” post, but we’re in the thick of our fifth holiday season, competing against every big box retailer, and I just wanted to acknowledge that you (our customers) have always been our biggest advocates. 🤝🏼

We don’t have a PR Team or a marketing budget to spread the word. We rely 100% on word-of-mouth recommendations and do our best to follow that up with a curated inventory of brands we stand behind, thoughtful recommendations based on your palate, and all round good in-store vibes. For this cocktail mix, we combine coconut, cinnamon, orgeat, and lime. We recommend mixing that with a proper pour of tequila (or an alcohol free agave spirit) cause it’s always tequila season. • Christmas Bomb!

A festive take on Prairie’s BOMB!, an Imperial Stout with ancho chilis and coffee. This iteration includes the addition of ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Prairie, based in Krebs, OK, is undoubtedly one of the most innovative breweries in the country when it comes to fruited or spiced beers.
