Today is the perfect day for a gin cocktail, and NEW shop favorite 🐮 is waiting for you! This stunning gin is distilled from local milk whey from dairy’s in Cork, Ireland, and blended with foraged and sustainably sources botanicals. Who is Bertha you might ask?
Bertha, or ‘Big Bertha’ as she was known, was a legendary Droimeann cow from Sneem in Co. Kerry. When she died on New Year’s Eve 1993, just 3 months shy of her 49th birthday, she had become something of a local celebrity. Over the course of her long life she had given birth to 39 calves, and this achievement, together with her tremendous age, had earned her an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. This fame was harnessed productively by Mr. O’Leary; Bertha became a regular at local fairs, and lead the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Sneem where she was engaged in raising money for local cancer relief charities.

You know we love our gin. We love a good story even more.

It feels like a Trousseau kind of day! Treat yourself to this stunning biodynamically grown Trousseau from esteemed Jura producer Domaine Pignier. Domaine Pignier is an historic estate steeped in history dating back to the 13th century in the village of Montaigu, 40 km south of Arbois in the Côtes du Jura. The Carthusian monks first started making wine in the village of Montaigu until the French Revolution, when the monks were forced into exile, and the estate was sold to the Pignier family in 1794. Quantities are extremely limited! Medium bodied, with a bright ruby red color. Aromas of mulberry and dark cherry on the nose. The palate is complex with wild strawberry, Queen Anne cherries and a savory, stemmy, finish. Pure and lifted. Gorgeous red from Jura!

New shop darling in the Italian section🤗 The 2022 Mart Valpiani ‘Delyus’ Bianco is 100% Albana from Emilia-Romagna. From young organically farmed vines planted on the southern side of Bagnolo, this wine has a golden amber hue in the glass and apricot blossoms on the nose. On the palate you get nectarine skins, soft sage, saline, bay leaves, and dried clover honey. This wine is light, bright, slightly savory, full of texture and just begging to be paired with a block of good cheese!
Swing by the shop tomorrow between 4-6pm to taste this gem along with a couple other special bottles❤️

An absolutely show stopper from
This Mosel Riesling has an electric energy running through it from start to finish. Evolving in the glass with layers of dried chamomile, yellow apple, honeysuckle, and nectarine. Bright acidity is balanced perfectly with crunchy minerality that is very reflective of the red slate soils from which the grapes are grown. A combination of biodynamic farming and five generations of wine making make this producer a force in the region. We couldn’t be happier to have them on our shelves ♥️

New Italian darling on the shelf from
💛2022 Tonello “io Cloe” Durello💛
A gem from winemaker Diletta Tonello! This 100% Durella(an indigenous varietal) is all estate fruit from volcanic soil in the Veneto, just east of Lake Garda. After one year in concrete followed by a year in bottle, the results culminate in a wine full of mineral driven texture, lemon chiffon and green apple aromatics with a saline driven finish that leaves the mouth watering.

Fun-fact: “Cloe” is another name for Demeter, the goddess of harvest.

🐛Christina Rosé is back on the shelves! 🦋🦎🐞🐝💕
Made from 100% Zweigelt, this rose is medium bodied with notes of red raspberry, tart cranberry, grapefruit with hints of oregano on the tail end. The texture is crunchy, with solid acidity and a touch of tannin on the back end. Unfiltered, unfined and low sulfur.
