Wine Wednesday
Happy Wine Wednesday, everyone! 🌿🍷 This week, we’re spotlighting the @monteriocellars Skin-Contact Vermentino!
Monte Rio Cellars offers a beautiful revival of old-school California wines, focusing on organic farming and low-intervention winemaking. Their approach makes them some of the most exciting wines coming out of sunny California! ☀️🍇
Owner and winemaker Patrick Cappiello, based in Sebastopol, CA, brings us this stunning Vermentino—now available on our shelves!
Fermented spontaneously with whole-cluster grapes in stainless steel and concrete, and aged in neutral oak barrels, this wine is made naturally with moderate alcohol, high acidity, and freshness at its core. 🌿 This 100% Vermentino from Lodi is skin-fermented in open-top tanks for 30 days, with the cap submerged by hand twice a day. The result? A truly handcrafted Orange Wine! 🍊
Expect vibrant aromas of apricot blossoms, black tea, and tangerine, balanced with a silky, rich finish—ideal for skin-contact wine lovers. ✨🍷
Shop online or swing by the store to grab a bottle. Cheers to the rest of your week! 🥂

Wine Wednesday! Birichino Malvasia Bianca 🌞
Wine Wednesday
Happy Wine Wednesday everyone! This week we’re chatting about one of my favorite aromatic white wines from California. Birichino Malvasia Bianca.
Birichino Malvasia Bianca, a perfect balance of perfume and poise, crafted with care by Alex Krause and John Locke. Founded in Santa Cruz in 2008, Birichino draws on their four decades of experience making wine in California, France, Italy, and beyond. 🍇✨
Sourced from the sandy shale soils of Loma del Rio on the western flank of the Santa Lucia Range in Monterey, this wine showcases fruit from family-owned, own-rooted 19th and early 20th century vineyards. 🌞🍷
Using nighttime machine harvests and 12-14 hours of skin-maceration, the aromatic potential is maximized. Fermented low and slow in stainless steel, then rested on its fine lees for 4-5 months.
This wine has a delightful blend of floral elegance and zesty freshness. 🍋✨ This crisp white wine brings bright citrus notes, fragrant jasmine, and a hint of tropical fruit, making it the perfect companion for sunny afternoons and light meals. 🌞🍷 #Birichino #MalvasiaBianca #WhiteWine #WineLovers #CrispAndBright #SantaCruzWines #HandcraftedWine #WineLovers #MontereyWines"

Happy Wednesday everyone!
This week we’re chatting about Manuel Cantalapiedra, 'Lirondo' Verdejo Spain $23
Verdejo is usually a simple, easy-drinking, fresh, fruity orange wine. A natural wine from the Rueda region just north of Spain, it's made in a style that gives it funky, floral, spicy flavors. It is made without any sulfur and with some grape skin contact to the juice, which makes the wine cloudy and a bit dark in color.
Cheers to another summer weekend!!
Happy Wednesday everyone! This week we are chatting about a delicious rosé vermouth that we recently brought in, from Istine.
This vermouth uses a base of 100% Sangiovese rosé from Chianti, and is distilled in partnership with the Bordiga distillery in Piedmont. In addition to the Tuscan wine, the following botanical herbs are used: angelica, orange, gentle wormwood, wormwood, cardamom, coriander, cassia, dittamus, fennel, gentian, lavender, Kina, mint, quassio, rose, sage, rosemary, elder, satureja, linden, thyme, violet.
Drink it pure, straight at room temperature or on ice with lemon zest or, even better with kumquat. $47
Wine Wednesday is back!
