Post Hurricane Milton update. It’s a long one…

Truly feeling blessed. Had a few scares with trees falling close to the house but no one was hurt, no damage here in Brooksville or the house in Spring Hill. The power outage is inconvenient but we made it through safely and that’s what’s important.

Still have trees on our power line behind the house. These trees are also on the shed so I won’t be accessing that until I am told it’s safe. Mike and his mom were awesome and brought us a generator last night so we were able to cool down the house. (best exhusband ever!) So very grateful!

Finally decided to tackle the fridge and deep freezer this morning. I thought they would be a totally loss but they held up better than we expected. Only lost about half. Considering myself very lucky! Been cooking what was salvagable for 5.5 hours so at least we will have hot meals tonight.

BP decided to stay high the last few days but I expected that. Finally feeling a little better today, dizzy spells almost completely gone, heart is no longer racing.

So many lost so much more than us. I am in no way trying to play victim here. We were very lucky. Trying to conserve battery life and it’s just easier to do one post so everyone is update at once. Plus our signal is iffy and I finally got one. My heart goes out to all those affected! If you’re the religious type, please pray for Florida. She has a long road ahead of her to recovery!
