Transform your St. Patrick's Day celebration with Boozy Shamrock Gummies, a spirited twist on traditional homemade gummies. These delightful treats combine the festive charm of shamrock-shaped candies with the kick of your favorite liquor, making them a hit at any adult gathering.​

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups applesauce​
2 ¼ cups granulated sugar, plus extra for coating​
2 (3 oz) boxes lime-flavored gelatin (Jell-O)​
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin​
½ cup of your preferred liquor (vodka, rum, or whiskey work well)​
Shamrock-shaped cookie cutter​

Instructions:

Prepare the Mixture:

In a medium saucepan, combine the applesauce, granulated sugar, lime-flavored gelatin, and unflavored gelatin. Stir the mixture over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil. Allow it to boil for one minute, ensuring all ingredients are thoroughly dissolved.​

Incorporate the Alcohol:

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the ½ cup of your chosen liquor, mixing until well combined.​
Set the Gummies:

Line a 13×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Pour the gelatin mixture into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.​
Cut and Coat:

Once the gelatin has set, sprinkle a thin layer of granulated sugar over the top. Using a shamrock-shaped cookie cutter dipped in sugar to prevent sticking, cut out the gummies. After cutting, roll each gummy in additional sugar to coat all sides.​
Store and Serve:

Place the sugar-coated gummies on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate them for another hour to firm up. Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Serve chilled, and enjoy responsibly!​
