We will be having a Spring Celebration tonight from 6-7pm! Food and refreshments will be provided (expect enchiladas and other yummy snacks). As usual, we'll be meeting at El Centro AMISTAD, 2580 Iris Ave.

There will be a brief discussion about building a partnership with the city of Boulder, summer involvement opportunities, and gathering your input on how to make the BCLJC more efficient and effective based on survey responses we have collected.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to meet with El Centro Humanitario (The Humanitarian Center), a great organization based in Denver, CO whose mission is promote the rights and well-being of day laborers in Colorado through education, job skills, leadership development, united action and advocacy.

We discussed and learned about best practices in preventing wage theft and supporting workers in reclaiming unpaid wages.

Boulder County Labor Justice Committee meeting this TUESDAY, December 4 at 5:45 pm!!

If you have never been to a committee meeting before, this is the perfect time to get involved! This Tuesday, some of the things we will be discussing are:
-Outreach volunteer opportunities
-Possibility of an "Ethical Business Campaign"
-A new case to be discussed/decided on

Boulder County Labor Justice Committee is excited to announce new leadership and new meeting times! The BCLJC now meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 5:45pm at the YWCA of Boulder County.
