This is of the most interesting and complex barrel picks I’ve ever tasted from King’s County. While all their offerings are top quality I found this pick to have a mysterious brightness about it. I thought it would perfect to release the end of Summer! Incredibly aromatic, notes of creme brulee, white cherry, orange honey and white honey. Very hard to notice it’s 64% ABV, silky texture, salty-mineral finish. More notes tomorrow. I’m going sit sea side with this one tonight-Eileen

We love to hear it! Nikos before he leaves finds everyone working to shake hands and thank them. As he’s leaving he says, “this place, it’s just has great energy!” Sakis with the incredible skin-contact and warm smile…. What a wonderful two hours!

Welcome -

Delighted to carry in Boston and Cambridge. Awesome story! Twisted Fate is family and friend run nano-brewery based in Danvers, MA. Dave one of the brewers and his wife (she is the majority owner) have lived in Southie for over ten years. Over the holidays Dave dropped a few beers off for us to try and left a card with his email hand written on the back. I thought, wow what a nice guy!

Jon in Southie ended up bringing the beers home to taste and he was really impressed. He followed up with me twice about getting them in. Dave called to follow up a couple times too. I apologized to Dave for being so busy 🫣 but we finally got our first order for both shops yesterday!!

Generally when you get a delivery there is an invoice with the order for us to sign off on accepting the product. When Dave delivered he said he would email me them. (Yes Dave is also the paperwork person and the delivery driver!) I had to email him to ask how much per case 😉

My point here is Dave brews 40 case batches (technically a double batch) and it takes him 12 hours to do that. We have 4 cases available from each batch, 2 cases per shop (12, 4pks) I don’t know about you but I’m down to support Dave this weekend. When he delivered the cases to Southie he mentioned that his wife told him about this “fancy shop” opening in Southie back in 2012 he should check out. He said, “dropping this beer off is a dream come true-full circle.” You’ll see him in the -shops for a tasting in the Spring! Can’t wait to introduce you to him. Let’s go! 🍻

What a night of agave & pozole. The chefs: @maxtoste @lonestar_camb @lonestarallston @felipestaqueria @pearlandlime @tallulahstacos @tlaxcalkitchen @trilliumbrewing @dolorespvd @barra.unionsquare @lolitateqbars @locosouthbos @newenglandcharcuterie Best food I have ever tasted at any event in my life and the pairing with mezcal was so moving! So much heart. If anyone that attended the event wants to reach out to support any of the mezcaleros or brands they tasted at the event just take it to the DM to purchase. I must say the world of agave (mezcal, sotol, tequila, raicilla) based spirits is a welcoming one. There is a lot to know for sure. This is @jon_costello not messing around getting us ready for @bowlofzole this Wednesday April 6th, 5-9pm! Bowl of ‘Zole, put on by the partners of the event: @fidencio.spirits @dannyhecho @foodkarmanyc @jimmypotsandpans With their community partner: @_projectpaulie_ Will bring pozole, the comforting Mexican stew, out of the shadows and into the forefront. They launched this event in Brooklyn in 2020 to bring together chefs, agave spirits producers (mezcal, sotol, raicilla, tequila) and food lovers to celebrate all things pozole. They will be donating to LA based @nouswithoutyou which provides food relief to hospitality workers affected by the pandemic. See you there!
