Another crazy day out of Bodega Bay chasing pelagics. We finished the day with 6 yellowtail, 1 albacore tuna and 60 crab. We headed west and found that the bait and life from the past few weeks of albacore action had scattered, we trolled further west for a few hours and out of the blue had 6 rods go off with several yellowtail leaping feet into the air on the hookup, we were all shocked since we were fisbing in 58 degree water hundred of miles away from somewhere you would expect to see yellowtail in november. After boating all 6 fish we quickly hooked a double on albacore, and got one to the boat. The choas was short lived but 15 minutes of crazyness the record books as a single norcal yellowtail is a once in a life time event, let alone a 6 way hookup. We returned to check crab gear and pulled 60 good quality crab. Capt Josh did very well on the lingcod inshore on the Sorta Salty, and reports will be posted over the next few days. Good weather for the next few days and we may be opening up some dates for tuna toward the end of the week if number pick back up.
