Our Story

Located in the heart of historic Black Mountain, Bramblewood is a must for all visitors and a local favorite. In 1995 Kim and Dianne Caraway took a big leap of faith and opened Bramblewood. Having owned florist shops in Morganton and Marion, NC their passions lead them to Black Mountain. Their background was as florists but were both educated in Graphic Design. Dianne also has experience in department store visual display while Kim pursued photography and videography. Both loved and spent years junking, antiquing and collecting. The culmination of those experiences was the inspiration for Bramblewood.

After Kim’s passing in 2013, Dianne continues to create and love the store and hopes that all who come out will enjoy Bramblewood’s funky mix of cabin decor including hand-crafted, rustic Amish furniture, cottage and farmhouse decor, a year round Christmas Shop and many gifts, cards, candles and more.
