Stone's Original Ginger Wine is a fave for our customers with Caribbean roots. Perfect pour for holidays. Delicious chilled on its own, warmed like a mulled wine, mixed equal parts with whiskey for a Whiskey Mac...or used in the glaze for this appetizer.

BAKED BRIE WITH STONE’S GINGER WINE & HONEY
1 wheel of Brie cheese
fresh figs
1/4 cup Stone’s Original Green Ginger Wine
1/2 cup honey
fennel seeds
chopped almonds or pistachios (optiional)

In a small saucepan bring honey and Stone’s Ginger Wine to a simmer, until it has reduced by 1/4, set aside.
Place Brie in a shallow baking dish that you can also serve the cheese in.
Slice the figs into quarters, arrange the quarters in a circular pattern on top of the Brie.
Scatter with the fennel seeds, drizzle liberally with honey & Stone’s Ginger Wine syrup.
Bake 10 – 15 minutes at 400F. Just keep an eye on it you don’t want to over cook it and make it burst and become too runny .
Drizzle with more honey and serve immediately with crackers or crusty sour dough baguettes.
Optional: scatter with nuts.

2 oz Charbay Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
2 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice
1 Splash of Simple Syrup

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until frosty and strain into a sugar rimmed martini glass.

Sunday Musings by LeNell. Get off your phones for a day. Go on a hike. Invite a friend over and cook a meal together without looking up recipes on your phone. Pull out Granny's cookbook. Make a punch and serve it in a fancy vintage bowl.

This is the last Sunday Musing for a while. This began initially out of my own curiosity noticing that when people posted a string of funny things I would scroll all the way through. Seeing lotsa savvy IG folks doing this I tried it. And guess what, we all lap that s**t up. Regular biz posts get a few hundred engagements. Sunday Musings gets thousands.

I could let that stroke my ego and think folks really wanna hear my personal reflections. Yet I know underneath it all we are seeking entertainment, a salve for our insanities, and we are wrecking our social skills to be in community like for real community not a perceived community in a social media parasocial relationship.

It is fun to share my insights and humor. This week I have none other than to deeply feel into the insanity of our tech addictions.

Setting an intention to shut off my phone one day a week to mindfully acknowledge how often my brain wants to scroll when I feel sad, lonely, or discomfort, how often I want to share a link that I haven't even read fully, how often I want to feel seen or heard by posting that someone cut me off in the Aldi's line, how beautiful my drink is, or that the DMV line was irritating. I am realizing how often I break presence with someone and pull out my phone to immediately satisfy the curiosity about an unfamiliar word or concept.

Presence. Turning off my phone now to begin the practice.

Sunday Musings from LeNell...HALLOWEEN HUMOR.

1. Energy Vampire...narcissist. Words that get used way too much. Doing my best to communicate capacity and guard my boundaries like a Queen. Another overused word. Vampires always got some kinda hexy sexy in movies. Sit with why you let someone drain you.

2. Good to know when and when not to be seen.

3. Now you'll feel different bout hatin' on da spice.

4. Calabacita. Been calling my kid that from day one. She hates it. Now I know why.

5. I always feel like I need to apologize to my spiders for tearing up their world. I mean, they catch a lot of bugs and seem eager to serve my home.

6. I keep this one going every Halloween.

7. Finally saw the movie in my 50s for 1st time.

8. Therapy helps with the scaries. has a cool machine to offer some science of how your brain is working.

9. Slutty devils, kittens, and witches. Do you need Halloween for this?

10. Always seems like good fam fun...until it takes hours to scrape entrails and cut out simple shapes only to rot in a few days. This year I just glued on some googly eyes and slapped on some glitter.

Strega--witch in Italian--with 70 herbs and spices such as Ceylon cinnamon, Florentine iris, Italian Apennine juniper, vanilla, cardamom, orange and lemon peel, iris, lavender, juniper, myrrh, and Samnite mint. Natural yellow color from saffron. Aged in ashwood barrels.

PINK WITCH
• 1 oz gin
• 1 oz Strega liqueur
• 3 oz fresh pink grapefruit juice

Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled shaker until well-chilled and strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.

Black Sambuca is an Italian liqueur with anise and elderberry, also known as witch elder bush. Serve after dinner or with coffee. Stir a teaspoon of it with a teaspoon of cassis and 1 oz of grappa with ice for a delicious sip or try it in this cocktail.

Tequila Ghost
2 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. black sambuca
1/2 oz. lemon juice
club soda

Combine tequila, sambuca and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with a splash of club soda.

Only 3 bottles left! White Witch is what they call the wind that blows through the Le Mistral vineyard. In the Rhone Valley of France the strong wind is called "Le Mistral."

This white wine is a blend of Rhone varietals like Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, and a touch of Viognier. Each variety was harvested individually and pressed before being racked to barrel for native fermentation. Once dry, the wines were allowed to undergo their secondary, malolactic fermentation to give the varieties texture and balance flavors.

Peach, apricot, honeydew melon, candied pear, chalk, almond husk, and hay notes evolve as the wine opens up. The wine has moderate acidity and is balanced with a soft texture and creaminess that should pair with a variety of cheeses or seafood.
