Co-manager Candy seized the opportunity to lavish the praise for his work ethic, and who wouldn't? Nick's been showing up for their team for 2 years now, and we hope he has many more in store (pun not intended... but recognized) for us. Any way you slice it, Nick is a reliable, diligent, and dependable asset to his store.

When he's not whipping up cheeseburgers and salads at work, Nick can be found jamming out, busting a move, and/or spending time with his pals.

Today's spotlight employee is Brianna, who works in our Missoula 3 store - on the Northeast corner of Mullan & Reserve. She handles swing shift as an assistant manager and clearly does a bang-up job.

In her time away from the store, she is able to recharge her batteries participating in diverse hobbies — some indoor, some outdoor. And she couldn't pick a favorite thing about her job. Quite frankly, we totally love the enthusiasm!

Brianna's manager, Jenny — who was a spotlight employee herself back in April — took some time in nominating Brianna to just rave about Brianna's work performance, can-do attitude, team spirit, and attention to detail.

Our spotlight employee this week is kind of a BIG DILL 🥒

It's Susan in Miles City... and yes, her manager tipped us off that she's a huge pickle fan, so we absolutely could not resist the pun. (Don't worry Susan, you're in good company here. Pickles are GOATed.)

Besides being a pickle-aficionado, Susan likes collecting oddities, being a grandma, and digging into those numbers solving some mysteries.

Levi, the store manager in Miles City, pretty much said it all. So keep on keepin' on, Susan. Have an extra pickle or seven! You deserve it. 😍

Selena in Butte is our Spotlight Employee this week! She works at Butte 10, our teeny tiny location wayyyy up on the hill, nestled near the bottom of the Big M. 🏔️

Selena knows every square inch of that little store after 6 ½ years. Based on her gigantic grin in this photo, Selena is a very welcoming person, and store manager Paula attested to that, saying that Selena also knows each and every regular customer by name and much more! This kind of personal customer service and human connection are the bedrock of Town Pump’s growth since 1953… we’re glad every time we see folks out there just carrying on that tradition.

When she's off work, Selena has a list of hobbies as massive as her smile, including time outside and time with family. She also mentions her willingness to be there for her fellow team members, which warms our hearts big time. 🥰

So… this is YOUR week, Selena! We're so proud to watch you grow and glow! Thanks for your service thus far and (we're certain) into the future! You're a real inspiration! 💫

If you're from North Central Montana or have traveled through in the past couple decades, you may just have met Connie. And if you haven't met her — we bet you've felt her influence in some way, shape, or form. Connie's been straight-up killin' it on Team Town Pump for 23 years. Several years ago, she stepped up into a District Manager role and just continues to earn the accolades from her team in the North 1 District, and the store operations team as well.

For someone who lists traveling as the numero uno hobby on her list, District Manager might just be the best seat on the Town Pump bus. DMs put plenty of miles in, 🚘 traveling their districts and helping their stores succeed. But she doesn't just travel for work - a little birdie told us she recently had occasion to travel to Germany as well. And she's a brand new grandma to boot!

One thing about Connie is she LIKES her job, which is perfectly illustrated by this quote, "Most of all I love working side by side with the employees... even if it means scrubbing a bathroom with them." 🚻 That's a real example of collaborative leadership if we've ever seen one.

Store Operations is duly impressed by Connie's sky-high work ethic and team centric attitude. Said one member of the operations team, "She works any hours required to get the job done, and regularly goes above and beyond when extra hours are needed."

Whoever coined the phrase 'work hard, play hard' may just have had Connie in mind. Our thanks to you, Connie, for your dedication and leadership, past, present, and future!

On this Black Friday we're venturing across the Hi-Line to another small Montana town — Chinook. That's where Nichole spends her days leading her team and keeping Town Pump running smoothly as the store manager.

Nichole has been working with us at Town Pump for over 25 years 😲 and we're so glad because she's great with her team and in her community! Keri, the District Manager who oversees that area, had nothing but copious praise to give us when she nominated Nichole. 🙌

Seems that Nichole loves her store, her team, and her customers and the feeling seems to be mutual. Then in her downtime she feeds her soul by baking 🧁 or reading 📖, which she lists as her hobbies.

Nichole, thanks for keeping Chinook buzzing right along for us. And thank you for such a long and dedicated career so far! We are pleased as punch to have you manning the ship 🚢 in Chinook!

Friends, meet Austin.

Austin keeps our location on Continental Drive stocked, in good spirits, and atop the list of fundraising locations when we collect for Food Bank or sell Special Olympics raffle tickets. All in a day's work seems to be his philosophy.

Store Assistant Manager Jessica nominated Austin for this program, saying that he is just an all around standout employee.

When he's not at work Austin has tons of hobbies from gaming 🕹️ to the outdoors 🏔️ and his motorbike 🏍️ of course.

On the east side of Billings... if you want a snack or beverage, you may stop at Billings 1 and chances are decent that Ben will be the one who handles your transaction with a smile. 🏪

Store Manager Sara likes making sure her employees receive recognition for their exemplary performance, so she couldn't wait to tell us all about Ben. She says that he is great at managing to fulfil secondary duties while ensuring customers receive excellent service and he's always willing to learn new skills.

When Ben's not at the store proving how awesome he is, he may be found playing video games, fishing, or just chilling at the house. And his favorite thing about his job is meeting new people.

On 10th Avenue South in Great Falls there's a little Town Pump on the corner of 14th Street South that's been through a lot of changes in recent years (including a tear-down and rebuild) and that's where Keith regularly wows folks as Assistant Manager.

Co-manager Hayley nominated Keith for the spotlight because he's an impressive guy who really rose to the occasion when the store was operating without a manager and helped to keep operations rolling. That's top-tier, honestly.

Keith's favorite parts of the job involve the PEOPLE: coworkers & customers alike... And off the clock he has a stellar list of hobbies that keep him on his toes. Emoji list: 🎸🛹📽️🍿📖

Nestled way up in the tippy top of Montana, almost to Idaho and nearly to Canada, is the quaint little big-hearted town of Troy.

One of the things you can rely on in Troy is that Town Pump is an integral part of the community and the little store in little Troy is chock-full of folks who are truly doing the most.

One such person is our spotlight employee this week. Meet Season, who handles the overnight shift with a big smile and friendly attitude. Store Manager Joe wanted to make sure that Season was spotlighted as a joy to everyone and someone who makes the workplace fun. 🎉

Outside of work, everything from music to fishing and hunting recharges Season's batteries and at work it's all about that one goal of being the BEST store in Montana. 🏆

It's pretty safe to say that the entire Town Pump ecosystem would be severely impacted if not for the fine folks who recruit & hire talent and handle personnel matters. In Helena, that person is Crystal. She helps with personnel tasks for all stores in the greater Helena area and she is a true rockstar.

She is helpful, smiley, and a true team player! Plus she's a mom who dedicates her time outside work to her kids. 🎉

In a world where you can be anything, being a Crystal is probably one of the top options! Mary nominated Crystal for the spotlight, and what she had to say about Crystal is truly top tier.

A larger store has more employees and therefore more chances for shining stars to be in mix making a name for themselves. Thus, we head back to Butte 2 where Christy is on the pedestal tonight! She is a lead clerk at this store, and she has been identified as an asset to the team.

Christy is one of those individuals who just delights in going to work and mixing it up with her coworkers and customers. When you find a position where you thrive like this, that's just the icing on the cake.

So after a day of bustling & flourishing at the register, Christy gets to go home and dote on her family. Her hobbies revolve around spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren, and getting in a little walk too.

Crystal is the store manager and shared such positive feedback about all aspects of Christy's impact on the store, and that's why she is our spotlight employee this week! Congrats & thanks a million, Christy!

This friendly face is in the spotlight this week, and we hear that making peoples' days is second nature to her!

Highlighting one project the Town Pump Charitable Foundation was able to assist with this year for West Valley Fire Rescue.

HUGE Thank you to Town Pump for their generous $7,000 "70th Anniversary Grant" which supplied Wildland Firefighting Boots to 27 firefighters. $300 WL boots are difficult to fund with small volunteer budgets, so The Bunker: Tactical Gear and Military Surplus The Bunker Tactical Spokane in partnership with Danner boots helped to supply 'Modern Firefighter' dual compliant EMS/Wildland boots to our members. Thank you for keeping our firefighters outfitted with the best safety equipment.

Let's hop back to Butte this week and take a gander at Butte 2. This is a busy store in the heart of uptown Butte and today we're highlighting Bryon, who is an Assistant Manager. Store manager Crystal is so pleased with Bryon's job performance that she nominated him for the spotlight.

Bryon loves the customer service aspect of his job and being able to send customers out the door with a smile. Then in his spare time he stays well-rounded by 📚 reading, 🕹 playing video games, and 🗻 camping. These are all great ways to refresh and recharge when you're off the clock.

Town Pump Charitable Foundation recently presented an Emergency Grant to the FAST Blackfeet Ōyō•ṗ Food Pantry to offset costs incurred due to a fire on June 2nd. Town Pump staff in Browning stepped in to help present the funds.

Ō’yō’·ṗ’ is the Blackfeet phrase for We are Eating.

Town Pump spokesperson Bill McGladdery stated, "the work of the Ō’yō’·ṗ’ Food Pantry is critical to ending food insecurity in the Browning community. We support the efforts of FAST Blackfeet in getting the pantry back to normal operation as soon as possible."

We'd like you to meet Ruth! Ruth's been holding down the fort at Butte 3 (at Montana Street & Rowe Road) for a long time (12 years) after Town Pump acquired the Flying J in Rocker where she had been previously employed.

In her time away from work, Ruth enjoys watching Swamp People on History — and when she's on the clock she likes making sure Town Pump's customers are rung up expeditiously and any of their concerns are addressed.

We could honestly go on and on, but store manager Shawn pretty much said it all when he stated, "We would be lost without her." Mic 🎤 drop for Ruth! 🙌🎉
