Two nights ago the conditions aligned perfectly. Fresh snow, snow still stuck to the trees, no moon, right time of year, and clear skies.

I woke up at 3:00 am and was out until 6:00 am shooting one of the most peaceful and calming scenes I have ever seen up in Big Bear.

And it's my first Milky Way photo of 2023.
