In addition to competing for prize money based on their placing, teamsters will also be competing for horsemanship and best dressed team awards given in memory of Larry and Joyce Reed. Horsemanship is judged based on how the team works together, tries its best, listens to their driver, and is prepared for the competition through training and fitness. This was very important to Larry. The judges will be looking for the best dressed team as well. This can be in terms of how fancy the harness is, but also how clean and well fitted the harness is. This was very important to Joyce who always made sure Larry’s harnesses were spotless and that new red pompoms were made for the contest. We can think of no better way to honor them. We look forward to seeing all of you there.
