We tasted through these exceptional wines from Frankland Estate and they were both PHENOMENAL! This is a Syrah that behaves like its Northern Rhone cousins and is far more complex and nuanced than its price tag dictates.

The Riesling is the typical Australian style, dry and aromatic, with vibrant acidity and exceptional length. These are truly benchmark wines of the region and should be in your glass at your next meal. We all thought they were incredible!

Every so often we get to "geek out" with the good stuff and today's feature is possibly one of greatest unsung heroes of an era of California winemaking that harkens back to a time before all of the pomp and circumstance of the modern-day California wine scene. Let's just say that the vine cuttings for the Cabernet came from CHATEAU MARGAUX and the Pinot and Chardonnay cuttings originated in Burgundy! There is a nuance to these wines rarely found in California.

It's a perfectly aged, structured and quite frankly superb bottle of Zinfandel from one of California's most coveted AVAs for Zinfandel, ROCKPILE. Gorgeous, spicey Zinfandel fruit showing almost no signs of age.
