Now available! This is ten year old distillate produced by Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) of Guayana and bottled by Blackadder (one of our favorite independent bottlers of rare rum and whisky). This was made on DDL's Port Mourant still, which dates back to the 1600s. The Port Mourant still is a double wooden pot still that produces distillate of unique character reminiscent of tropical fruit, leather, green wood, exotic spice and talcum powder. Chateau Gontier Blaye Cotes De Bordeaux 2016

This chateau is one of the oldest vineyards in Blaye, undergoing several restorations since World War II.

60% Merlot 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. 50% in tanks, 50% in oak barrels.
Notes of leather, earth, black currant, plum, cherry and a whisper of to***co. Classic Bordeaux to keep on hand for a daily pour.

You may have noticed gaps like these in our shelving in recent days or today. Multiple distributors we do business with are dealing with adversity like a lot of us this week. Due to weather, routine truck schedules were disrupted or canceled, delaying stock being replenished.

We will all catch up hopefully in the new week, starting Monday. Stay tuned for those updates here on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Fortunately we never lost power this week at the shop, but we know a lot of you up the hill in Clarksville and other surrounding neighborhoods are still without power. We are all hoping everything gets fixed sooner than later.

Late update: Mid-afternoon Tuesday we noted the overnight forecast, multiple business closures in Clarksville and Old West Austin neighborhoods and widespread announcements about other essential services, city offices, public transit and businesses across the city, downtown shutting down early afternoon, by evening and through tomorrow and suspension of public transit until Thursday morning.
