NEW IN

L’ATELIER (TATUAJE) - LA TACHE 2018

Very spicy upfront with red pepper spice that lingers on a long finish. The retrohale is creamy upfront with pleasant fruity sweetness and spicy finish. Cedary tones and forward nuttiness are present but act as supporting flavors. There is a sour/bitter component that balances the flavor profile that comes in at the 1 inch mark and provides a tannic-like quality. The spiciness begins to ebb and a pale floral quality emerges.

The tug and pull of various flavor expressions make for an incredibly complex smoking experience. This is a structured cigar that favors elegance over opulence. From a company that suggests at taking inspiration from the wine world, this is clearly proof. Bravo.

FERIO TEGO - ELEGANCIA 2023

Creamy, slightly tannic, with a trail of baking spices on the finish. Balanced, mild-medium in strength (tending towards medium), and medium bodied. It is definitely a heartier in comparison to the Timeless Sterling. A tart stone fruit character is present and gives the flavor profile vibrancy. Subtle black pepper but it’s there. Mineral and orange peel notes are also present. The definition on the spice notes is amazing. The interplay of bitterness and sweetness makes this cigar exquisite.

A reminder we are having our event with Definition this Friday May 31st from 5-9pm. In the meantime, I’ll be posting some reviews of some highlights in their portfolio:

Definition Delfigero

Full bodied, medium plus strength, and full flavored.

It is at once herbaceous and rich with notes of mint, parsley (dare I say… calling it though), brownie crust, dried fruit, faint black pepper, and molasses (on the retrohale). Layered and distinctive flavor profile that is enveloping and textured.

It isn’t easy to create something that stands out in this industry, and Definition have managed to pull off a few blends that I would call, well… definitive. This one for me takes the cake.
