Our Story
Abbey Farms is unique. We are not like other fun farms - we offer something a little different, and we like to think that our guests step back in time a few years! No Fall season haunting themes, no electronic games, just clean old-fashioned outdoor family and group fun. Be sure to check out our rustic-chic Nagel Farmstead Emporium Store, with our Abbey Farms-branded food products, our bakery, Chef Dave family meals, our produce market (available seasonally), and our very own beer and wine!
Abbey Farms is non-profit: All of our events are fundraisers for the Monks of Marmion Abbey. All proceeds from Abbey Farms enables the continuation of the various good works they perform. Abbey Farms is also largely volunteer run! Current Alumni from Marmion High School and parents of currents students all come out to help run our festivals for the monks! Having been in the business of creating family traditions for more than 50 years, the monks pride themselves on serving the community with fun for the entire family that won’t break the bank!
Abbey Farms is located in Aurora, Illinois. Since the first Christmas tree was planted in 1949, our farm has transformed into a multiseason family-oriented destination. Situated on 300 acres of beautiful farmland, Abbey Farms is one of the oldest farms open to the public in the area. From monk-grown U-Cut and Precut Christmas trees, to pumpkin picking, to Kane County’s largest corn maze and, soon to come, our apple orchards! When it comes to good ol’ fashioned family fun, we have it all at Abbey Farms!
