What is a better way to end your damp/dry January than a Portuguese wine dinner?! We will be pouring 6 unique wines from the estate expertly paired with 4 courses of Portuguese inspired tapas.

VinoTeca is honored to be one of the first to offer wines in the Atlanta market. This winery was born in the Alentejo and has a commitment to organic farming and currently has more than 189 varieties planted, 40 of which are in full production.

Presenting this prestigious winery is friend of the store, David Kemmerer. He will focus not only on the wines but also travel and culture of Portugal.

Pedro Jesus Porras, who recently moved to Decatur from Spain has created a menu to highlight these classic yet unique wines.

A tantalizing trifecta of wines paired with your favorite sweet treats for the holiday, this one is epic! Double double, toil and trouble: yeast ferment and not a bubble! Australia is one of the most overlooked wine regions in the world. We have many theories about this, but Australia has a winemaking history that dates over 200 years. When the market exploded in the late 90’s / early 2000’s, this region became synonymous with heavy, extracted, hot weather Shiraz. But the wine production here is actually quite diverse. This weekend, we are focusing on wineries that are making waves with innovative winemaking.

VinoTeca welcomes Alicia Lini of Lini 910 for an evening of Lambrusco paired with Chef Justin White’s Italian small plates. Lini was founded in 1910 by Alicia’s great-great grandfather in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. Lambrusco’s popularity has had it’s ups and downs throughout the years, but Lini has stayed the course with traditional wines. They even created a special wine using the Champagne method (which we will feature for dinner!)

The evening will feature 5 of the families’ wines paired with Chef Justin White’s small Italian-inspired fare. Justin is a friend and regular at VinoTeca has trained under some of the greatest chefs in the world, including Thomas Keller at the French Laundry. Chef White landed in Paris, where he attained two Michelin stars at Villa 9 Trois for his dynamic, seasonally-driven cuisine. His current life in Atlanta has him curated private events throughout the city.

This week, we celebrate one of the greatest songs ever - September by Earth, Wind and Fire. As an homage, we have decided to plan a tasting around the three elements from which the band takes its name. This week’s tasting: GRENACHE!

September 15th is International Grenache Day and it happens to be one of our favorite grapes. One of the world’s most widely planted vines, this truly versatile grape is known for its rich notes of red berries, cherries, and a hint of spice that Grenache is famous for. We are pouring Groundwork Grenache Blanc to start (we’ve waited months to serve this!) Second is shop favorite making a comeback with Garnacha straight from Rioja. And to finish, a stunner in Anne Pichon ‘Sauvage’ from Vaucluse, France. Don’t miss our homage to Grenache!

We’re thrilled to announce a special evening featuring Matthiasson Wines, straight from the vineyards of Napa Valley!

We are turning VinoTeca into the Matthiasson Tasting Room. Join Derrick Harrison, Napa Tasting Room Manager, for a unique experience that transports you to the winery.

Events include:
6:00 - 6:45: Seminar on regenerative farming and tasting with Derrick. (Ticketed only - Limited seating)
* Tasting of 6 wines, including wines not available in GA as well as their one of a kind vermouth.
* Charcuterie will be served

6:30 - 8:30: Tasting takeover
* Drop in tasting of 3 or 6 Matthiasson wines
* Tickets encouraged, limited walk-in seating
