For the true rum aficionado—or just someone who wants a bottle no one else can find— we have found some masterpiece casks straight out of St. Lucia and the Chairman’s Reserve distillery: a 15-Year-Old John Dore & Vendome ex-bourbon cask coming in at 119.6 proof and an ultra-exclusive 19-Year-Old John Dore ex-bourbon cask coming in at 106.2 proof.

These aren’t your “let’s have a cocktail” rums; these are the “pour and appreciate in complete silence” kind. The “I don’t even know if I want to share this with you” kind.

We only received a very limited amount of these, and we are the only retail shop in the US that has these expressions. For this value and quality, this is truly the last we’ll see of something like this.

Want to try them for yourself? Join us on Thursday, November 21st from 5:30-7:30 for an in-store tasting with the one and only of Imports. We’ll be pouring tastes of these incredible rums *for free*. We know, we love you too.

Calling all Wine School students: class is back in session! November is approaching and that means it’s time to talk about BEAUJOLAIS. Whether you know it as a Thanksgiving meal’s most perfect pairing, or summer’s most quaffable red, Beaujolais is a place to be celebrated. Heck, if France can have a whole holiday dedicated to this beautiful wine region, why can’t we?

Please join us for an intimate, after-hours tasting event on Wednesday, November 13th ✨OR✨ Thursday, November 14th at 8:00pm at ESC for a Beaujolais Masterclass, FKA the 10 Crus of Beaujolais Tasting. That’s right, this event was such a hit last year we’re giving you TWO chances to join in the fun (seriously, people who attended last year are STILL talking about it).

We’ll be exploring all 10 Crus of Beaujolais (aka the best of the best wines from this high-class region). Each Cru has its unique charm and personality, promising an exciting adventure as we travel (metaphorically) from cru to cru. But we hope you like an element of surprise— the Crus that we’ll be tasting will remain a surprise until the event!

And, what fun is it to be inside the shop after hours if there isn’t some time to shop?? The ESC team will be available after the tasting to make personalized recommendations for anything your heart desires. For anyone who wants to be ahead of the ball and pick out the perfect wines to feature at your holiday meal, we’ll be there to help. Want to round out your mezcal selection? We’re there for that too.

Hit that 🔗 in bio to snag your spot! Fair warning: we’re almost sold out already so don’t wait! 😳

We look forward to spending the evening traveling through Beaujolais with you!

It’s likely that you’re not hearing the name Elisabetta Foradori for the first time (we talk about her and recommend her wines to basically everyone who walks through the door).

We love the Foradori wines so much that our wine buyer, , nearly burst into tears when she met Elisabetta for the first time (swipe for photo and see the tears for yourself).

Elisabetta has been passing the reigns to her children (who are following dutifully in her footsteps) and now, her daughter is coming to town and we are screaming with excitement. If, somehow, you’ve managed to escape our fandom, read all about why we’re obsessed here.

Please join us for an evening with Myrtha Foradori (daughter of winemaking royalty, Elisabetta Foradori) on Sunday, October 20th, at 7:00pm at ESC. We don’t mean to hype you up too much, but this may be the wine event of the year.

Seating is limited so snag your 🎟️ at the 🔗 in bio before this one sells out!

Sierra Reed came to the world of winemaking in a roundabout manner. Her first career was in modeling. Super fans of the show Survivor *ahem our own * may recognize her from Survivor 18: Tocantins. And finally Sierra had her own travel show based in New Zealand.

All these pieces of the puzzle led her to this moment: while shooting with winemakers in New Zealand, Sierra realized that making wine was what she wanted to devote her life to, and she hasn’t looked back.

Since starting her eponymous winery in 2015, Sierra has devoted herself to making single vineyard bottlings of special plots across Australia.

Sierra is the definition of an intuitive, hands-on winemaker. She’s done the training that allows her to trust her instincts, and she does. She’s out in her vineyards every day leading up to vintage, harvesting when she tastes the right balance. The result? Every wine, every vintage these wines are delicious and complex, yet totally accessible and drinkable.

Now, we get to welcome Sierra into the shop for a (free!) in-store tasting this Friday from 5:00-7:00. We can’t wait to see you there.

Mijenta (loosely translated “my people”) is a tequila dedicated to community, sustainability, and craft.

Created by Ana Maria Romero, one of the most trusted, respected and awarded tequila authorities in Mexico and one of the few Tequileras, Mijenta’s production is influenced by both art and science, which elevates the agave, creating something truly special.

Now, Ana Maria is celebrating her release of Meastra Selection No. 1.; a first of its kind tequila crafted from single estate agaves grown from seed.

We’re honored to welcome Ana Maria into the shop to celebrate with us (and all of you!). Please join us on Wednesday, 10/9 from 5:30-7:30 as Ana Maria shares her story and her stunning tequilas. Free, as always 🫶

Back for its 12th year is Negroni week!

What better time to highlight one of our favorites: ! Crafted in Brooklyn, St Agrestis produces handmade natural spirits and non alcoholic beverages (looking at you !! ) using old world methods.

Swing on by the shop tomorrow from 5:30-7:30 to try one of these perfectly balanced and bitter bevs, straight from the box. Yes, we said BOX. Trust us. You’ll see why we always say having one of these in our fridge at home would be dangerous (in a good way) 😬

is a sourcing and finishing project by Macaulay Minton and David Peet. They experiment with different mashbills, age statements, and barrel finishes to create whiskey potions of unique profiles. Whether it’s pure talent, alchemy, or straight up sorcery, it worked on us, and now two of their single barrel experiments have joined our library of single barrel selections.

We quickly fell in love with the 10 year bourbon finished in Armagnac casks and the 7 year bourbon finished in white port casks. Was it the bourbon? Was it the grape cask finishes? Was it simply witchcraft? We’re unsure but we’re leaning into it.

Looking for an excuse to embrace the Dark Arts yourself? Come by for a very special Friday the 13th tasting and see what all the sorcery is about. 🧙🏻‍♀️🪄5:00-7:00

What’s this we see? A little sneak peek of some of the wines that will be making an appearance at our dinner next week?!

Some things you have to look forward to:

🥀a brûléed eggplant paired with, we’ll go ahead and say it, the best rose you’ve ever had.
🥩 steak paired with Cabernet…. FRANC (bet you thought we were going to say Sauvignon, huh?)

🎵 tunes inspired by the food and wine, provided by the one and only team.

Oh what’s that? You don’t have your ticket yet? Well that feels like a mistake… go ahead and hit that 🔗 in bio to take care of that.

The summer is coming to a close, even if the warm weather lets us linger here for a little longer. You know we aren’t necessarily big proponents of changing what we drink based on the season, but sometimes we start to crave different things as the seasons change (a glass of a big bodied red can feel like a hug when it’s cold outside).

We figured we could ease into the changing of the seasons together, over a beautiful meal. So let’s have dinner! Please join us on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00 for a wine dinner that will say “thank you, next” to summer, and welcome fall with open arms.

Enjoy five courses of Commune’s seasonal, creative, and playful dishes, each paired with a wine that is perfect for handling the transition between seasons. Only appropriate for a listening room, Commune’s Zopari Kristjanson will accompany our meal with music inspired by the food and wine.

This family-style dinner will take place around communal tables in Commune’s lux dining room. Seating is very limited, so be sure to get your ticket now at the 🔗 in bio. We can’t wait to see you there.

5 courses + 5 pours = $165 (tip included!)

-Cancellations within 24hrs of the event are non-refundable
-Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please allow a minimum of 5 days notice.
-Ticket price includes gratuity.

Uh oh, you’ve been put in charge of picking wine pairings for dinner and you don’t know where to start! Breathe. We got you.

First things first: the biggest rule in pairing food with wine is eat and drink what you like. Taste is subjective— what one person picks up as citrus another person might pick up as green apple 🍏 flavors. There is no wrong answer, AND no amount of food is going to make you enjoy a wine that you hate.

Second, the vast majority of wine pairings fall on a bell curve of excellence. Very few pairings are exceptional, but very few pairings are terrible. The majority of wine pairings are decent! Really, it’s hard to fail.

Focus on the big four: Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, then add Sugar. Start by examining these qualities in both your food and wine options and make your choices from there. The key here is BALANCE ⚖️

Want to check out how wine changes with food for yourself? Don’t miss our Thursday tasting next week! We will be joined by on 🗓️Thursday 8/22 from 5:30-7:30. Garnish and Gather will be serving up samples of one of their incredible meals, and we’ll be pouring some wines that we think would be perfect pairings. 🍷🍴

(PS sorry for the pump fake on this wine, it is indeed still sold out)

AATN: we’ve added not one, but two new classes to our ESC Wine School education series!

First up, we will welcome visiting professor Joseph Frederick for a 🇫🇷🍷 French Wine Masterclass. Joseph is the Southeast Regional Sales Manager for , one of the most respected importers of fine wine in the United States. Joseph is one of the most knowledgeable wine professionals we’ve every come across, and a rare gem of an expert who manages to keep things fun and approachable. We’re so excited to give you a peek behind the curtain to what a tasting with Joseph is like (hint: they’re some of our favorites).

🗓️ The French Wine Masterclass will be on Monday, August 26th, at 7:00pm at ESC.

Then, back to our regularly scheduled programming with the second class in our 🍷📚 Wine School series, Wine 202! In this class, we’ll deep-dive into terroir (can you really taste different types of soil in a wine? 🤔) and how wine is made, from grape growing to pulling the cork. Note: no need to have taken Wine 101 to take this class— no pre-reqs!

🗓️ Wine 202 will be held on Sunday, September 22nd at 7:00pm at ESC.

Registration for each event is $45 and covers all your course material (read: wine, snacks, and educational tools). Hit that 🔗 link in bio to sign up now, space is extremely limited!

See you in class! 🤓📚📝

Introducing: ✨The Producer Mezcal✨

Life-long friends from both sides of the border 🇲🇽🇺🇸united over a shared vision: to create a lighter, more approachable mezcal.

Fueled by a taste for perfection, they traveled through Oaxaca to source the finest ingredients and learn superior harvesting, roasting, and distillation techniques.

They discovered decades-old wild agave, artisan mezcaleros, and a unique method for producing the only mezcal they personally care to drink.

Their journey resulted in a true partnership with maestro mezcalero Juan Pacheco, who turns agave into liquid gold.

We are thrilled to welcome Juan Pacheco and the team to join us for our in-store tasting 🗓️ next Thursday 8/15 from 5:30-7:30.

Come meet the agave maestro and try the aforementioned liquid gold for yourself. Only for the
