What can be better than Lambrusco and Pizza Night?! Well, only when a winemaker is joining it. We are excited to welcome Alessandro Medici from Medici Ermente from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Join us for a strolling tasting on Tuesday, June 11th at our Buckhead shop! We will serve 5 different styles of Lambrusco with three different pizzas from Antico Pizza Napoletana! We will introduce you to one of our favourite Italian producers. Together we will learn about this beautiful region, native grapes and winemaking practices.

I had a pleasure to spend a day with wonderful Paolo and Monica Demarie at their small family run Demarie Azienda Agricola located in Vezza d’Alba (Roero).
This is one of the most green estates in the whole region that is proud to use solar panels, biomass boiler, recycled water and has a very thoughtful approach to farming and winemaking.
Paolo is working only with indigenous to the region grape variety such as Arneis, Nebbiolo and Barbera. We had a unique opportunity to taste not only fantastic back vintages of Barolo Riserva. But also the new wines that hit the market not too long ago. My favorite one was a Rosato Pet Nat made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. It was a perfect wine for a hot day spent in the vineyard. Beautiful acidity, fresh wild strawberry and raspberry notes, balanced by bright minerality. It is truly one of my new favorite sparkling Rosés of a season.
When Paolo is not too busy making wine, he loves foraging truffles in the forest across the vineyards with his two boys. Monica is a talented cook, that made a wonderful lunch for us and I am excited to taste her famous rague in the future.
Demarie Estate just finished building brand new guests suits. It is a truly wonderful experience to spend time with this genuinely nice family. Their passion in wine and hospitality is absolutely implacable. You will feel home far away from home.

Starting a trip at a beautiful winery Tenuta Santa Caterina located in the heart of Monferrato, Piedmont.
Wine Estate works with a few different grape varieties, however their historic grapes are Grignolino and Freisa. Wines of the kings and perfect pairings with white truffles.
Beautiful acidity and crunchy red fruits balanced by vibrant tannins and structure. According to Guido Carlo Alleva, Grignolino is the wine of the past, present and the future of Monferrato.
Estate produces wines only from single vineyards and single grape varieties. Grignolino “Monferace” is produced only in the best vintages.
Estate’s spectacular underground ‘infernotto’ cellars, dug 17 meters below ground are part of the area’s designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
