What a game it was yesterday!! The Dawgs came out triumphant and we can now breathe a little easier moving towards the last few games of the season. After such a fun weekend, we don’t plan on calming it down. WE want to celebrate! So we figured a cocktail would be the best way. What better cocktail to celebrate the Dawgs than one called “The Bulldog”. The oldest Bulldog Cocktail was published in Hugo Ensslin’s 1917 manual ‘Recipes for Mixed Drinks’. Although originally posted with rum as the main spirit, 18 years later Leo Cotton published the recipe with a focus on Dry Gin instead. We tinkered with the recipe ourselves to make a delicious cocktail for gin or rum lovers (depending on your sweet tooth preference). So what did we come up with? Well here ya go…

You’ll need:

- 2 oz dry gin (we used ) [if you’re a rum lover, we suggest the white rum from ]
- 1 oz cherry liqueur ( ]
- Juice from 1/2 a lime

Stir or shake, then strain into a glass. Garnish with lime. Enjoy!

This is an easy cocktail, but the right gin and cherry liquor (brandy may be preferred) is the key to deliciousness here. Make it your own…and Go Dawgs!

We definitely didn’t choose this wine because of its eerie resemblance to our favorite movie ogre…..but we do love it, and we know you’ll love it too if you’re looking for a nice Italian white for this Wine Wednesday. La Quercia, ‘Santapupa’ Abruzzo Montonico Superiore 2021 by is a wine made from the Montonico variety of grapes, which are commonly grown in the Abruzzo region of Italy. These grapes might be making a powerful comeback in the wine industry and “In the hands of expert winemaker Antonio Lamona, we get to experience this white powerhouse in all its delicious simplicity: warm citrus and an ample weight to rival Pecorino’s, along with a freshness and zip that recalls Verdicchio” - . So maybe this is just what your Wednesday needed!l. So come buy you a bottle and have a night in. Maybe a movie night. We might know a movie that will go perfectly with it 😉🍷

Dawgs lost, it’s rainy, it’s cold, and it gets dark at 4 p.m. Sounds like we need a cocktail, and an easy one at that. This one is one we spotted online and just had to give it a try, since it uses tequila, and we loooovvvve tequila. It also is only 3 ingredients and a garnish. It’s so simple, yet absolutely fantastic. It’s,

Name: Infante (thanks to mixologist for this delicious cocktail)

You’ll need:
- 2 oz tequila (we used reposado tequila from )
- 3/4 oz orgeat ( )
- 3/4 lime juice
- freshly ground nutmeg (for garnish)

How to make:
Pour all ingredients in shaker with ice and shake. Strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with freshly ground nutmeg. Enjoy.

It’s actually that simple. We promise that this one is a must try and one that you’ll be making a lot of in the future. It’s just too good. Cheers friends!

Will it get cold already? It’s November as the holidays inch closer, holiday favorites are starting to make their appearance on wish lists. One of our favorite honorary holiday flavored liqueur is the Spiced Pear Liqueur by . This delectable temptress of a beverage smells heavenly upon opening and might make you drool with baked spear sweetness and beautiful notes of cinnamon and clove. It’s like the holidays bottles. It’s so good it can be drank by itself, but the cocktail list with this addition is simply awesome. So get yourself in the holiday spirit and get you a bottle. You will not be disappointed! Friday Feast anyone? A Mediterranean mood is what we were in the mood for. Greek Ouzo, like this one from .official is on the drink menu tonight. Ouzo is an anise-flavored liquor produced from grape must (the remnants of wine-making). Ouzo is typically served with a glass of water for mixing. You can add the ouzo to the glass, then add cold water, and finally add ice if desired. Some say that ice can alter the composition of ouzo, turning it a milky color. We can’t wait to see if it’s true. No better way to enjoy this liqueur other than pairing it with some delicious food from our friends at , which is right down the street from the store! If you’re not at Porchfest, then what are you doing? Grab you a brew and hit up one of the many lawns to grab a seat for one of many awesome bands performing today at Athens’s coolest festival. The best beer to get? A big one. Duh. Good thing we have some awesome pint cans of 9% or higher brews to aid in your fun festivities for the day. Supporting local products is a great joy of ours. We love supporting our neighbors, especially when we get to sell a product that is right up our alley, and this product is. If you didn’t know, has a bourbon that you must try. It’s a bourbon that double finishes traditional straight bourbon whiskey with toasted wood staves from a 100 year-old pecan tree grown and harvested in Five Points. With this bourbon having something from our neighborhood being used in its creation, we can only love it and support it as much as possible. Just a warning, it is limited edition, so make sure you pick up a bottle before it’s gone! It makes a great addition to your bar, a perfect gift, and an excellent choice for repping your town at your tailgate this weekend in Austin.

Sunday Funday is here! After a wacky college football Saturday, we can only hope to gain some of that excitement for NFL games and our usual Sunday shenanigans. What better way to get things started than a cocktail! This is a fruity and bitter cocktail with a pop of spice that you’ll love sipping on in the almost fall air. It’s called The Slope (created for the Clover Club by Drink Master Julie Reiner). Here’s how to make it.

You’ll need:
-2 oz rye (we used )
-3/4 oz )
-1/3 oz Apricot liqueur (we used )
-a dash of Angostura bitters ( )

Stir all ingredients together. Strain and pour in glass, and garnish with a cocktail cherry. Easy and yummy. Although the original cocktail calls for a Nick & Nora glass, we poured ours in a rocks glass. No ice is preferred but in this Georgia heat…..we wanted ice. We also had an employee munch down all of our cocktail cherries, so we thought the orange zest gave it a little sumthin sumthin. Hope y’all enjoy!
