Old Grand-Dad has been in production since 1882 and has a long history in Kentucky bourbon. This is part of the distillery’s “old” collection which also includes the Old Overholt rye whiskey offerings as well. This is an explosion of heat at 114 proof so drink responsibly with this one! It’s one that you may want to try….just in case those rumors of it’s discontinuation is true 😭💔🥃

Congrats to Athens Academy alumni Graham Blanks on his awesome showing in the Men’s 5000m, congrats to UGA soccer alumni Croix Bethune for a Gold medal in women’s soccer, congrats to UGA alumni Marie-Therese Obst (🇳🇴) for her showing in the Women’s Javelin final, and congrats to current UGA track star Aaliyah Butler for her excellent lap in the women’s 4x400 qualifying race that gave the U.S. women a spot in the finals which they won Gold in today!!! Anyone watching the Braves today? Not their best season but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t grab a drink and cheer them on!! If you need the perfect cocktail to enjoy while chopping along, look no further than recipe that we were absolutely intrigued by. Check this delicious cocktail out!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Old Bourbon ( )
- .5 oz. good coffee liqueur (we used )
- .5 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 5 oz. agave syrup
- Lambrusco, to top (we used Lambrusca Riserva by )
- 3 orange slices, divided
- Mint sprig, for garnish (optional)
- Grated coffee beans, for garnish (optional)
Directions: Add two orange slices and all liquid ingredients, save for the Lambrusco, to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled Collins glass filled with ice, preferably a long Collins cube. Top with Lambrusco and garnish with an orange slice, mint sprig and grated coffee beans, if desired.

This wine is a blend of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah that features flavors of red berry, blackberry, with spicy and flinty minerality, and an almost smoky vanilla finish. Chestnut Cup
Ingredients:
-Gin: 1 oz. (We used Mahón Gin from )
-Campari: 1 oz. ( )
-Lemon juice (or lime juice for some extra twang): 1:oz
-Orgeat: 0.75 oz ( )
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into a shaker with light ice. Shake to combine then strain into a highball glass (or fun sexy summer goblet) that is 3/4 full of ice (pellet ice is better if you have it). Garnish with an orange slice (or wheel).

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers finally reached Galveston, Texas to free the last remaining slaves in the United States (2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation). To celebrate the day, we decided to look into what drinks are a staple for the black culture and communities. Thanks to one of our favorite publications, , we got our answer and immediately decided to try out this sweet and delicious cocktail to share with you all. We’ve had a whole lotta people ask us for aguardiente. So what is aguardiente anyways?
Well aguardiente is a traditional dry spirit that is native to Columbia. It is usually made of molasses, sugar, honey, and anise. Sugarcane is big component in this one, with anise being a huge taste factor. Many people describe the taste to be similar to licorice! If you’re passing this by as you shop around the shop for bar stocking…..you’re missing out. This can be enjoyed alone, mixed in with a mixer, or even put into some fabulous cocktails. Give it a try!! We have the OG and low sugar versions of on the shelf, but you’re always welcome to ask us for others that you’ve been wondering about!
