*ALL Wines Priced At Lowest Online Price in the USA!*
Is it summer yet? If it's not officially, it is safe to say I am already there in my mind!
Memorial Day Weekend is a time to give thanks to those who have given their life to serve our country. It's the weekend that kicks off summer, and rings in the end of the school year. Pools open and grills fire up. Kids get ready for camp. Life is good, right?
So this week we're gonna be playing songs like this song (https://buff.ly/436EyOb) on repeat in the store (seriously, that song is my fave - first time you hear it by the pool it means summer is here!), while we're also rolling out our largest Memorial Day Sale ever, with prices that hit the wallet just right.
Some of the gems below we have never marked down to these prices, and a few have very limited availability.
As always, thank you for your business. We continue to be humbled by the opportunity to serve you. We sincerely appreciate it!
Let's do this people!!

*Curbside Pickup Always Available*
For only the 4th time ever, Brooks Bank Cabernet is on sale for $14.99.
It was our runner up to Wine of the Year in 2022, and there is no e-mail I receive more than "When is Brooks Bank going on sale again?"
So as they say, ask and you shall receive!!! We've worked the last 4 weeks with Bodegas Lo Nuevo to bring in enough supply to start March with a bang!
Image of This is the real thing. This is what you've been trained for.
Why is this wine so good?
When one of the best winemaking teams in Europe get together and gather juice from some of the oldest Cabernet vineyards in Spain, and age the wine in barrels typically reserved for $100+ wines, and the retail price is set to be less than $40...we take serious interest.
When we can put it on sale for $14.99? It's time to back up the truck.
It is powerful, poised and persuasive Cabernet and to put it frankly, stupid cheap for the money. Honestly, I wish this was one of those things that would never run out of supply.
The Vivino reviews are stellar as well. And the avg reported price from users is almost $22!
So let's kick off March the right way, shall we?
Blind Taste Belle Glos Pinot Noir against %$25 Rivals!
With all of the awesome Pinot Noirs coming in stock, and to celebrate the New Year, we just had to go ahead and put on a favorite Blind Tasting event of ours...
That's right, it's time to pull the blind tasting train back into the station and convene for our 12th Semi-Annual Belle Glos Blind Tasting!
Like we have said many times before, if you don't know the price, can't see the label, and can't hear someone barking in your ear about the wine's "score," then all that is left is the juice and your taste buds. It's a scary proposition for any winemaker. That's why you have marketing departments that design catchy labels, create campaigns to build a wine's image, and spend all of their time and energy essentially trying to convince consumers that a wine is great. The problem is that you can't out "market" a blind tasting.
Which is why we're playing "Find the Belle Glos" this Saturday. It's simple really. Eight wines will be tasted blind on the tasting machine. One of them will be 2021 Belle Glos "Balade" Pinot Noir and the others will be an assortment of Pinot etc. at every price point from a number of different regions. All you have to do is taste and pick your favorite. Yes, that's right, your favorite. If that's the Belle Glos, then great, if not, well that's OK too. You may be surprised as to what your favorites actually are. To get through all 8 wines will be $8!
Get ready to taste some amazing Pinot Noir! We will announce the winners next Tuesday!

I’ve been thinking a lot about value lately. I’m sure I’m not alone.
Every single item in our daily lives seems to be taking a price increase. Bacon? It’s crazy. Christmas Trees? Don’t even get me started. I saw a cheeseburger at a casual restaurant the other day listed at $22. Fries not included.
So it gives me great pleasure when we can offer you the following 3 wines, all that represent some of the best value we have ever seen in the wine business.
In 3rd place this year we have Bleu Blanc Thau, followed by Brooks Bank Cabernet in second place!!
Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the most sold wine of 2022 is…. 2019 Willowlake Cabernet!!!!
It is our Wine of the Year in 2022 because it embodies everything we love about wine, and everything we value here at winestore. Impeccable quality, and outrageous value.
The sad part is it was a one off deal. So when it is gone it is gone - but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it while it is here.

YOUR Top Wines Of The Year!
YOUR Top Wines Of 2022- ON SALE!
SALE Runs Monday December 5th - Friday December 9th, 2022
5 DAYS ONLY!
FULL SALES LIST HERE: https://buff.ly/3ixHy3H
It looks like the newest addition to the winestore. family, ZinfandELF the Elf, has already started collecting the best selling wines this morning. Its only his 5th day in the shop but he can already tell which wines were selling like hot cakes this year! Make sure to follow us on Instagram to keep up with his shenanigans everyday untill Santa comes. (Follow us here https://buff.ly/3EY7CfY )
Do you really need Wine Spectator or some other publication to tell you the best wines of 2022? We don't think so... When we started this company over 16 years ago, we trademarked the line "You're the expert", and we did so because you like what you like and in the grand scheme of wine drinking, that's all that is important. So, in the spirit of "You're the expert", for the 11th year in a row, we are going to let YOU do the talking. We have taken your 21 favorite wines at winestore. for 2022 - using total bottle volume as the deciding factor. We've given those that have not been in stock all year a shot at the list by looking at monthly run rate compared to the top 21. You know, it's all very scientific and stuff :)
Why 21 wines? Because this year the difference between #20 and #21 was 4 bottles and we just felt like we could not exclude it 😁
Also fun fact? In a world where bacon goes up in price it feels like every 2 weeks, and prices on all items are going up galore - the wines on this list saw no prices increases in 2022. We take a lot of pride in that fact. We're looking out for your pocketbook just as much as we are looking out for delicious wine!

Thanksgiving Wine Sale - Our Biggest One Yet!

Is it really almost Thanksgiving?! I feel summer was like last week, am I right?
Either way, it means it is time for our annual Thanksgiving Wine Sale!

All prices are good through Sunday, November 20th! (no, they are not good on the 21st)
It should also be noted that as always, there are going to be some insane "in store only" specials rolling.

Top 3 Wines in terms of voting 1) Willowlake Cabernet Sauvignon ($29.99) 2) Cape Charles Cabernet Sauvignon ($24.99) 3) Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon ($69.97)
Winner of the Caymus Blind Tasting is...
So the votes from our blind tasting are in, and there was a clear winner - 2019 Willowlake Cabernet.
I have to say I'm not surprised.
We told you when this wine was released in August that this Cabernet was "the best 100% Cabernet under $50 we will offer you this year (other than Cape Charles)."
We also noted; "You are not going to find 100% Cabernet from Napa or Sonoma for $29.99 per bottle that is going to outdrink the quality of this - full stop."
I think you all may agree with us! Major shout out to 2nd place winner Cape Charles Cabernet and the 3rd place winner Caymus Cabernet!

It's been a minute since our last blind tasting (or any real themed tasting for that matter). Actually it's been about 1,313,280 minutes...but who's counting 😂
Prior to the pandemic, blind tastings had become something of a crowd favorite here at winestore., and why wouldn't they be!?! Blind tasting is just flat out fun!!
That is why we are beyond excited to let you know our blind tasting schedule is getting back in action, and we're starting with one of the all time favorites!
Caymus Cabernet is one of the hottest selling wines in any given year, but if we placed it in a lineup with less expensive offerings - could you pick it out? Would it still be your favorite? We're going to find out this weekend!
I mean, a Ducati is supposed to go faster than a bicycle, and a $75 wine is supposed to taste better than a $25 one. Right? Well, maybe not. A wine's success isn't measured in MpH, it's measured in the taste that is transferred from the glass to your mouth. If you don't know the price, can't see the label, and can't hear someone waxing poetic in your ear about the wine's "score," then all that is left is the juice and your taste buds. It's a scary proposition for any winemaker. That's why you have marketing departments that design catchy labels, create campaigns to build a wine's image, and spend all of their time and energy essentially trying to convince consumers that a wine is great. The problem is that you can't out "market" a blind tasting.
Which is why we're playing "Find the Caymus Cabernet" this Saturday - and I have to tell you this may the the most competitive lineup we have ever put together. The format is simple really. Eight wines will all be tasted blind on our tasting machines each at a cost of $1.00. ($8 to get through the whole tasting) One of them will be the 2020 Caymus Cabernet and the others will be an assortment of wines at every price point from a number of different regions. All you have to do is taste and pick your favorite. Yes, that'

You may now be familiar with the name Baron Ziegler. He’s the wine legend who has brought us juice from some of the biggest names in California wine, at prices we've never seen before. He also made waves last year when he and winemaker Pax Mahle purchased 162 acres of what may be the best Syrah vineyards in California. You can read more about that purchase https://buff.ly/3QH9gqs and https://buff.ly/3bPgnOZ . (Don’t worry I’m getting us in on that!)
The wines we have been able to deliver through Baron in the last 18 months have been crazy - and over the next three weeks you are about to see his best work yet. With the new vintages of Darley and Willowlake Cabernet as well as the final pop of 2019 Cape Charles, you are going to get access to some of the best under $30 wine you are ever going to try.
Today we have 100% Knights Valley juice that Baron has bottled for us under his Darley label. If you’ve been to wine country you’ve most likely been in Knights Valley and didn’t even know it. It is the last AVA on the east side of Sonoma County, right next to Calistoga and is home to some names you know - Montelena, Peter Michael, Morlet Family Wines, and Anakota wines to just name a few.
Here’s what I can tell you:
- The release price for the juice in this wine is $75.00 per bottle
- The winemaker has multiple 100 point scores under his belt - he cut his teeth at Buccella and Continuum before moving to this property.
- The juice comes from one of the most famous names in Knights Valley
- we have 214 cases available
It's a great way to start the weekend, am I right?!?!? I know what I'm drinking tonight.
TGIF!
