One of “our kids” just so happens to have the lead in this amazing production.

This week has been incredibly tough for the Spencer community. A devastating flood put much of our town underwater, and many are still tirelessly working to clear their homes. Despite these challenges, the cast and crew of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical have come together to complete the journey they started. In these trying times, the theatre has provided a much-needed reprieve for our young people.

Seeing them reunite at the theatre brought literal tears of joy to so many. Witnessing their laughter and the way they support one another has been a poignant reminder of what theatre is truly about. Their sense of community and resilience is both inspiring and heartwarming, showing us that we can learn much from their determination and spirit.

Tickets go on sale this Monday, July 1st! Please consider supporting these remarkable community theatre performers from July 11-14. Special thanks to Lynn Morris-McEwan, Elle-Shante Whalen, and the rest of the production crew for their unwavering support in making this show possible. Despite everything, their determination to see the show through is truly inspiring. Join us for an escape to another world.
