Matet's Kitchen, was inspired by a passion many can relate to - a love for Mom's cooking. The team is taking their family recipes, made many time's over in their own home, and building their company Matet's Kitchen. Meet Margarita, PhD, MBA, Scientist, Mother, Wife, CEO, and Entrepreneur! She is a lady with many talents including building an empanadas empire with her company which you can find at Meet the Makers on November 16th from 3p-6p.

Margarita's empanadas are based on her childhood growing up in Colombia. Her father owned restaurants that featured typical Colombian food like Bandeja Paisa, Sancocho, Arroz con Pollo, Arepas and of course EMPANADAS! 🥟

Grant Sarvis, founder of Pop's Bakery & Deli and Poppy's Stuffed Bagels is dishing it out at Meet the Makers on November 16th. WOO HOO! What else pairs so well with real good coffee from our friends at Compass Coffee (also participating in MTM)?

Grant’s love for bagels and bread started at a young age. Growing up, Grant’s Poppy (grandfather) would host family brunches. Ben Johnson and Jesse Konig started their entrepreneurial journey on the Wake Forest campus in 2013. From a food truck () to restaurants and stadiums, this duo recently launched their line of frozen fries, or in their words: "We wanted to make fries so good that we’d be proud to put our names on the front of the bag. We wanted fries that we could serve to our friends & family."

This is Liam, the founder of . And you guessed it! Liam will be sampling and selling at this year's Meet the Makers 2024.

Liam started Ahav Foods (cookie dough bites) as a freshman at Duke University. Drawing inspiration from his own battles with an eating disorder and a desire to provide options for those with food sensitivities, Ahav's mission was clear: to redefine the snack game.
