STARLIGHT TOASTED FRENCH DOUBLE OAKED PRIVATE BARREL

A big thank you to the picking team: Derek, Zech, Kyle and those who helped with the pick.

We have had some nice private barrels over the last year. In my opinion, this Starlight barrel is one of the best.
This was supposed to be a distillers release and part of Starlights annual release. They put a lot of time and money into this barrel. They let us have her and we are honored to offer her to our customers. This is one to put on your shelf and share some good juice and the following story with your friends.

THE JUICE
The juice comes from Starlights oldest family reserve. This is the juice that they release a few times per year and she comes from their best Rickhouse. Premium Starlight juice.

THE BARREL
Most of the time when a distiller wants a French barrel they call up a barrel broker. For this barrel the Huber boys went to France and picked logs from five different regions to blend together to make a barrel. This is one of only four wood blended barrels at Starlight and the only one in Iowa. This is a very intentional barrel.

When they cut into one of the logs they found a bullet. They were curios so they researched the log and placed it at the time of WWII and the Battle of the Bulge. Instead of finding a different log they spent time and money and pressed it to remove the shrapnel. This barrel is part of American history.

The barrel and aging made some great juice: Cinnamon, Red Apple, Vanilla, Toasted Walnut, Raspberry Jam. 116 proof and 6.5 years. Priced at $67.99. Limit 2.

Starlight invested a lot of time and money with the intent of selling the bottle themselves. They could have made more money selling it in their gift shop. We are big supporters of Starlight and they are big supporters of Liquor Lovers. This isn’t a transaction between us it is a relationship between two small family owned American businesses. She is ready. Please don’t wait too long. No holds.

INCOMING PRIVATE BARREL DROPPING THURSDAY.

Starlight toasted French Double Oaked that was hand picked by the Huber boys that was going to be a distillery release. They decided to share it with the customers of Liquor Lovers.

This has a great story that comes with the barrel from France. One of the logs that Starlight selected for the barrel had a bullet imbedded in it from the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. More to come on the wood that was selected for the French barrel.

116 proof and 6.5 years. Big flavor.

LARCENY BARREL PROOF is in the house. Sometimes the wait makes it even better. This is the first barrel pick of Larceny Barrel Proof in Iowa. A big thank you to our picking team of Derek, Zech, Kyle, Steve Casteel and Scott Sandahl.

Larceny is known at Heaven Hill as Old Fitzgerald Distillate. The Larceny Barrel Proof was named Whisky of the Year by Whiskey Advocate’s among other awards.

The mash is: 68% Corn, 20% Wheat and 12% Barley. Aged 6 years and 127 proof. Great dark color. Some of the notes are: Toasted bread, maple, cinnamon, molasses and hazelnut.

Priced at $75.99. Limit 3 per day. So everyone has a fair shot SHE DROPS AT 4 TODAY.
