1.5 Tsp Sugar
Fresh Mint Leaves

Directions
1 - Muddle mint leaves, sugar, and a splash of water in a rocks glass or julep cup.

Donna Keffeler of Molson Coors Beverage, LLC, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the ProRodeo Hall of Fame

Donna, of Littleton, Colorado, grew up on a working cattle ranch outside Sturgis, SD. She competed in rodeos through 4-H, high school, and Intercollegiate Rodeo. Donna’s best event was the breakaway roping.
After high school, Donna attended Black Hills State College in Spearfish, SD, with a double major in special education and elementary education. In June of 1981, she received the phone call that changed her life. She was asked to run for Miss Rodeo South Dakota. After winning the horsemanship, she was crowned 1981 Miss Rodeo South Dakota. After a long five-day competition and up against 48 state queens, Donna was crowned Miss Rodeo America, 1982.
Immediately, after her reign as MRA, she began working for Coors Brewing Company. Donna has been dedicated and has worked loyally for, now, Molson Coors Beverage LLC for 37 years as the National Event Coordinator for the Coors Banquet brand. She has dedicated her life’s mission to promoting Coors Banquet and rodeo.
In 2014, Donna was inducted into the Yellow Jackets Rodeo Hall of Fame as a competitor. In 2019, Donna was once again inducted into the Yellow Jackets Rodeo Hall of Fame as a dignitary. In 2021, Donna was honored to be inducted into the Casey Tibbs Hall of Champions in Fort Pierre, SD, in the category of Rodeo Promoter. Donna was recently recognized for her life’s work of promoting rodeo at the Back When They Bucked event in Deadwood, SD. The Western Legacy Foundation inducted Donna into the Back When They Bucked Hall of Fame.
When asked when she is going to retire, she comments, “I love my job and the brand I work for. When this job becomes a job and I don’t enjoy growing the brand and our rodeo program, is the day I will retire.”
Donna is the proud mother of two amazing daughters, Monique, 30, and Gianna, 28. Both girls reside in Denver.

6666 Steak & Mushroom Soup

2 rib-eye steaks (about 1 pound each), trimmed of excess fat and cubed
Salt
Black pepper
6 tablespoons flour, divided use
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons avocado (or olive) oil
2 small white onions, quartered and sliced
16 ounces (1 pound) sliced mushrooms
4 cloves garlic, pressed through garlic press
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup 6666 Amber Lager
6 cups beef stock
1 tablespoon chopped flat-leaf parsley
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Add the cubed steak to a large bowl, sprinkle with a couple of good pinches of salt and black pepper, as well as 2 tablespoons of the flour, and toss to coat.
Place a large soup pot over medium-high heat, add in the butter and the oil, and once melted together and super hot, add in the steak cubes and brown on all sides, about 3 minutes or so (steak should be rare on the inside, you only want color on the outside); remove from pot and set aside.
Add into the pot a drizzle more oil if needed, and add in the onions and the mushrooms, along with a pinch or two of salt and pepper, and saute those together for about 10 to 12 minutes or so, until slightly golden.
Stir in the garlic, and once aromatic, stir in the Italian seasoning, and add in the cup of ale; allow the ale to simmer vigorously for about 5 minutes or so until it reduces and thickens slightly.
Sprinkle in the remaining 4 tablespoons of the flour and whisk to blend, followed by the hot beef stock; stir together and then bring to a simmer over medium heat, allowing the soup to simmer uncovered for about 20-22 minutes so that it slightly reduces.
Turn off the heat and return the browned steak back into the pot with its juices; allow the soup to sit for about 5 minutes or so before serving, just to allow the steak to cook through a bit more in the heat of the soup
Finish with the parsley and the thyme, ladle into bowls, and enjoy with some crusty bread and a cold 6666 Amber Lager!
