It is undeniably the most popular grape variety amongst wine experts, but many consumers mistakenly write it off as a sweet grape enjoyed only by college kids and those with unrefined palates. The truth is that the Riesling grape itself is not sweet at all. In reality, it is one of the most technical, structured, and elegant grape varieties in the world. For instance, did you know that Charles Joguet was a passionate Parisian painter before building his renowned estate? He traded one passion for another, and built the brand with his mother, Madame V***e Joguet-Malecault in 1957. He dedicated his life to enhancing his vineyard and his craft. In fact, Joguet drew the mansion illustration featured on the label!

Argentina has gained recognition for being the go-to New World producer of Malbec. And while Malbec is an incredibly important part of their story, their wine culture goes well beyond this popular French grape. Local grapes such as Torrontés and Bonarda are often overlooked for the grape that made the wineries famous, and their expressions of other international grape varieties are completely unique and mouthwatering. The cool Andes Mountain influence paired with the arid growing seasons of the wine growing regions forms a naturally perfect grape growing environment for quaffable, agable wines.
